Charlie never said any words, either, though, until he was 18 months. And now his speech is perfectly fine. So maybe my babies just take a bit longer to develop than everyone else.

I think it's more of a sign of a cautious baby than a delayed one. It could be so many things, like body type, or preference, or personality.
My two year old still isn't talking, and it can be really hard to get excited about new things when you feel like they're behind. I'm just starting to learn to put my worry on the backburner and enjoy the now with her, and the new things, even though everyone else was doing them half a year ago.
That's probably the bad thing about these playrooms too, it's very easy to start comparing.
