So, Monday night, our birth mom went to the hospital instead of her OB appointment since she was in a lot of pain and was hoping they would induce her. They did an ultrasound and discovered that twin B had flipped breech. That completely ruled out an induction. They gave her a prescription for lortab, scheduled a c-section for Sunday and sent her home.

Tuesday around 9am, she started having labor contractions, but the hospital still wanted her to wait. She and her boyfriend went to get the lortab prescription filled just after noon and then decided to forget that and go to labor and delivery. She called me and I called DH to get on his way home so we could head up to the hospital. By the time, DH got home, we got someone to pick the boys up from school and got to the hospital she was already in having the c-section done. She had wanted me to be there, but we just got there a bit too late. Her boyfriend went in with her much to his dislike. He doesn't really like blood and such. He didn't look too good when he came out to find us. He told us he didn't think he'd be able to eat for awhile.

We got to stay in the hospital in the room right next to our birth mom. She had the girls room in with us most of the time. We would take them over to her room and chill out for awhile with her, her boyfriend and her boyfriend's family.

Yesterday was placement. Our birth mom signed relinquishment, we sent the twins in to be with her for as long as she wanted while we did our part of the paperwork. We then went in to be with her for a little bit longer before we took the twins home with us. We gave her a blanket I made with super girl fabric, but we really think she's a super girl. Our boys also made her Build a Bears and named them the names of the girls. Then we gave her a scrapbook album for all the pictures we will be sending her. We love her so much and are so grateful that she made this adoption go so smoothly.

Oh and their names are Emma Noelle and Ellie Jayne. We are so excited to have them home with us. Their brothers absolutely love them.

I'm so glad that she placed with you! Congratulations on your daughters! I'm taking notes about what you did for the birth mom, as you can see from my username I hope to adopt one day.

I love the pics of all your children Tami! Ellie doesn't look to happy though lol, in the pic where the boys are holding them.

We were very blessed to have such a great birth mom. Even the caseworkers from each side were amazed with how smoothly it all went.
