Anything you need to throw a tantrum about today?

I HATE HATE HATE my period. I just started it yesterday and I know the cramps are coming. I hate the lead up to the cramps more then I do the actual cramps.

I have the energy they tell you about in the second trimester, but I have the lovely sickness they tell you about in the first. I am sick of gagging.

I'm sorry Rachel! I hope you get to feeling better soon. Being sick this long can't be fun.

I was sick all night last night! Ugh. I got 4 hours of sleep. BUT, on a positive note, I finished reading my latest book and it was really good. Matched by Ally Condie. Has anybody read it?

Yes! I got it for Christmas from my sister-in-law. I really enjoyed it, but I was disappointed that the subsequent books aren't out yet. Boo.

Just feeling generally burned out on parenting today. People keep acting like Victor should be sleeping through the night by now, (which he totally is not even close to doing) and it's making me feel frustrated. I usually don't beat myself up too much about parenting shortfalls, but every now and then I just feel overwhelmed.

Don't beat yourself up. Every kid is different. My babies were horrible sleepers and I tried to do everything right! My sister's baby, on the other hand, is sleeping through the night at 6 weeks.

That probably only made you feel worse, but my point is that every kid is different and you can't compare yourself to others.

I was frustrated that the other books aren't out yet too.

I felt the same way with both my kids! It's so frustrating when people go on and on about what babies are "supposed" to do when, like Lynsey said, every baby is different! I won't tell you how long it took Patrick (a long time!), but definitely neither of them was sleeping through the night by 3 months! Actually, most babies I've come across take a little longer than that, especially breastfed ones.

For my own....um....I can't shake this incredible exhaustion and I'm tired of being tired. (and I know it'll only get worse!)
