These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are percisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character and increase our compassion for others."

It looks like she's off the ventilator now. I hope this means she'll be okay.

Sorry I've been really slacking at updating on here. She's doing great! She's off just about everything now. The only things she still has are a feeding tube (though they've been feeding her with a bottle... I think the feeding tube is just in case she suddenly refuses the bottle now), an IV which is going into her belly button to get the antibiotics, and then the things to measure her oxygen and what not. I've been getting to hold her and I got to give her her bottle last night. In order to leave the hospital and come home she must finish her antibiotics (which she does tomorrow at 11am), take either a bottle or breast, and gain weight. She's taking the bottle (with breastmilk in it) and she didn't gain between yesterday and today but for the first time she didn't lose either. She is still at 6lb3oz today which is exactly what she was yesterday. She was 6lb 11.5 oz at birth. As of her feeding that she's probably getting right about now, they are starting to give her more milk at a time so hopefully she will gain weight from that. We are going back up around 8 tonight and hoping Daddy can give her her bottle tonight! I promise I will do better updating here. I hope the next update I post is "she's home!!!"
