Hey ladies! I don't know if you remember me. I posted here a few months ago. My husband and I have been married for 7 years now, he was raised LDS but is inactive, so I always knew a lot about the church (a lot compared to most Jews anyway). I was raised Jewish, but when we moved here to UT about 8 months ago I noticed that there were no Jewish temples. I decided that I wanted to raise my son in a religion, even if it wasn't my own.

Well here I am a few months later and newly baptised! I am excited to start this journey. I am happy to raise my son the right way and am glad that he will have the joy of the gospel in his life from the very beginning. My only concern is that my DH is still adamant about not attending. He doesn't want to be sealed, and I feel a little bummed. I am hoping he will come around at some point though.

Peter is having his baby blessing on June 5th, and I am super excited!

I am Erica BTW. Nice to meet you all.

Welcome to the board! I was wondering if you'd ever joined the church but I couldn't find your post to contact you.

I'll keep your family in my prayers, maybe your husband will come around, I've seen it happen before sweetie.

Welcome to the board! just jump right on in, we've got a couple of games being played and I try to have a QOTD post every few days. I'd love to learn more about you!

These experiences, while often difficult to bear at the time, are percisely the kinds of experiences that stretch our understanding, build our character and increase our compassion for others."

Hi Erica! I'm so happy that you decided to join the LDS church. It has brought so much joy to my life. You are doing a wonderful thing for your son. I truly hope your husband comes around eventually. Continue to pray for it daily and the Lord will bless you for your faith. Good luck with Peter's upcoming blessing!

Hi Erica! Fancy meeting you here . I'm glad that you joined the church. I'll pray for your husband to be guided by the Spirit to go back to church.

Where about in Utah are you? I'm in North Salt Lake. If you aren't too far, we should meet up sometime. I bet the girls and Peter would have fun together (as they get older, of course). Can you believe they are almost 2 months old?

ERICA!!! I'd always wondered, but I didn't want to pry. I'm so happy to hear this! Congrats on your baptism!!

I have to say, keep praying for your husband. I've seen so many miracles. My younger brother stopped going to church at 14 and swore he'd never go back. Now, at 26 he's working his way back (he's got to stop smoking and is having a hard time). It may seem like it'll never happen, but give the Lord a little time, He has a way of softening hearts.
