I know I shared a picture before, but my blessing dress has finally transferred from my mom to me. In just a few short weeks Marsi will be wearing something I wore almost 26 years ago.

how sweet! dh's mom kept this liitle terry cloth romper that dh wore in his baby pictures for 31 years, and she passed it down to us when Victor was born. We hd his pictures taken in it...it's so fun to compare them to dh's baby pics.

So pretty! My MIL just offered to make the girls' dresses for the sealing and their blessings.

Neat! My mom still had my blessing dress. Ani wouldn't have fit in it. She was small, but I was tiny. I was born at 7-11, but I lost a lot of weight and by the time I was blessed around 6 weeks I was still less than 7 1/2 pounds so my blessing dress looks like it belongs on a brand newborn. Ani was 4 1/2 months when she was blessed (my sister got married that weekend so a lot of family was in town) and was over 12 pounds by then. So neat that she'll get to wear the same one you wore.

That is SO cool!

I may make my baby's blessing gown (we're Irish... doesn't matter if you're a boy or a girl... ya wear a gown) out of my old wedding dress. I think that will be a sweet way to use something that would otherwise sit in a box for a million years and never get used again.

Erin's was made from my veil and the leftover fabric from the bodice of my dress. I think it's a great idea!
