I am just going into my third trimester and I am starting to be mildly constipated.

I talked to my doctor and he said this is a good solution for me. He recommended the other solutions, fiber water excersise. But I am just needing an extra kick on a rare occasion, maybe 2-4 times a month.

I don't think I need a stool softener as that is not the issue. I am loath to take medication because I am extremely good in this depatment the only time I have ever been really, or in all honesty remotely constipated was right after baby 1 and baby 2 after baby 3 I felt great with no problems. I don't want to take medication because I don't want to over do it.

I asked about the caffine and the doctor does not seem to think the caffine in my 9.5 oz coffee drink is going to hurt baby in fact he likes active babies.

Any way I used coffee when I was pregnant with Quinn and Scarlett to good effect. I am not Temple Worthy so I am not afraid of issues there.

There are so many other ways to combat constipation. I would definitely not use coffee, temple worthy or not. It's not just the caffeine that makes coffee unhealthy.

Fiber was my best friend through my constipation. Benefiber is my fiber of choice.

My naturopathic/homepathic chriopracter (ummm she's AMAYYYYYZING) today recommended lots of apples, skin on, for my constipation issues. So far, so good

Try that! Oh, and brown rice.

Hot chocolate is a good solution as well, it's the warm water that helps me and I just can't stomach a glass of plain warm water so hot chocolate it is.

I have no suggestions...I never found anything to help alleviate my digestive troubles during pregnancy.
