I tried to wait as long as I could for this post, but what I found out this morning is really freaking me out. My insurance lapses the 31st of this month. After that, I have no job, no insurance nothing. Also, DH's insurance, job, everything is gone the 31st of this month. So, we will have gone from 2 incomes and all of us insured, to absolutely NO income and NO insurance at all in 13 days.

DH needs to find a job. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. I am technically a substitute teacher, so I can make some minimal income. DH is just getting out of graduate school. He defends his thesis tomorrow. DH has given me blessings saying everything will work out. Deep down I know it will, but how long will we be in this limbo with Marsi being due in October and having a real possibility of coming early? It terrifies me that I could go into preterm labor again and not have any insurance.

Sorry for the saga. I am just super stressed and need prayers. For many months I have felt that he will have a job before she comes. That it will be like me getting my teaching job last year where 3 days before school started I got a call saying I got a job. So, yeah...could you spare a prayer or two for us?

Sure will. You don't need that sort of stress!

That's exactly what it was like for us when Matt graduated and was job hunting! Luckily Erin and I were on medicaid (is that something you could look into??) so we had *some* insurance.

Lots and lots of prayers!

Between all of our assets (savings account mostly) we have too much liquid money to qualify for medicaid. Heaven forbid we have a great savings account in times of emergency and still qualify for health insurance.

I don't blame you for being stressed. I would be losing my cool at this point. Sending job vibes Endrit's way.

Well, I do qualify for COBRA. We hoped that we wouldn't need to go that way, but I HAVE to have insurance. I know I want to have Marsi out of hospital, but that doesn't mean that I won't go into PTL again or need NICU if she comes too early. So, we do have something for me. DH's current boss told him there might be money in the budget to keep him on a month to month employment status (no benefits for him) for a couple of months. It is still up in the air if that is going to happen, but I have hope. Thanks for the prayers ladies. We could obviously still use more, but so far, all is well.
