With the financial situation of DH and I with me not employed and him with no job still after getting his final degree we needed a little bit of help. I decided to get on COBRA so I do have insurance (I told you ladies about that a while ago). The biggest thing on our budget besides our home is food. So, I decided to apply for WIC. I went to my appointment today and I am officially in the WIC program. I am Lactose intolorant and have spent the majority of this pregnancy without milk because we couldn't afford the lactose free milk. I even have vouchers for milk again! I won't have to worry about calcium for Marsi and I during pregnancy and breastfeeding! It is just a nice blessing to have this now!
I was on WIC with both of my children. It was a god send! Especially when I was unable to produce milk for my son to breastfeed. The help with formula was great.
I feel you on the financial situation too. My hubby just got out of the hospital after surgery and a 2 day stay. Feeling kind of sick to see the bills when they come in. I am going to have to find a job to pay off all this medical. Sad part too is that I will have to drop both my and my kid's insurance as we just cannot afford them. We just barely do not qualify for CHIP insurance for the kids too because of my unemployment.
