We let the boys skip school so they could be with us for the finalization of the adoption. They were more thrilled with missing school than being at the court, but they were very well behaved. After our attorney questioned our caseworker making sure all laws were followed in regards to the adoption and that we were fit parents and then asking us if we felt we had bonded with them and that we were sure we wanted to go through with it, the judge said he had a few questions for the boys. I had them come up to the microphone and the judge asked if they liked having the girls in the family. Brandon just said, "Yes" and then then judged asked if he could take them home with him since he didn't have any baby girls at his house. Ed looked at him and said, "Umm, no." It made me laugh. So, now the adoption is final and they are legally a part of our family.
Saturday is our sealing day where we'll become a forever family with the girls. I'm so excited. I'm just hoping they are feeling better by then. They both have double ear infections.
