What do you do in Sacrament to keep the kiddos quiet? When both my DF and I attend church we have six children in the pew. Their ages are 9,8,6,5,4, 21mo. It is really really hard to keep them quiet and in their seats. I have been taking coloring books, toy cars, small dolls, ext to try and keep them settled, but it often ends up that I have to leave Sacrament and go into the hallways. I don't like doing this because I enjoy sacrament, but I don't have very many choices.

Sometimes you just have to take them out. My older two (almost 12 and 10) sit quietly now. I let Ani read during the talks. Cameron doesn't read well or for fun yet so he actually tends to just sit and daydream. We bring some Legos and other little (quiet) toys with us to church and the little two (5 and 3) play with those or draw on paper. Fritz pretty much never has to be taken out of SM anymore, but Adrian has to be taken out once every 3ish months now. We've come a long way from having to take him out every single week! There is a light at the end of that lots-of-littles tunnel.

Gosh I hope so! I love SM and feel so rejuvinated when it's over. When I have to focus on the kids, their fussiness and them being loud wiggle worms, I miss gaining the rejuvination I long for.
