Big decision

DH still doesn't have a job. I told him that I would go back to work in the new year if he didn't have a job. Well, that time has come. I have already worked 2 days and will continue to work for the next 2 days as well as a substitute teacher. The thing is that when I went to work today, 3 people at the school offered me the first shot at a long term position that will be opening up in 2 weeks. If I take the long term position my wage would more than double. When I told my parents about it they said something that made me think. I knew when it was offered that I didn't want it, but I knew I needed to consider it. When I told this to my parents, they told me of similar experiences that because they needed to consider it, it ended up being what they should do.

I got a blessing from DH and as much as I don't want to, I think I will ask for the position. I am glad that I have a couple of weeks before it opens. I am really glad that Marsi is good with a bottle. it would be miserable for DH if she didn't take a bottle. Please pray that I can be comforted with whatever decision I make. It is at the same school I taught at the last 2 years so I know the people there. I even taught the same curriculum 2 years ago right after my student teaching.

I will pray. You never know why this is even though it wasn't your plan. Heavenly Father knows what he is doing. I know quite a few people who have had to have the wife go to work because this economy is awful and even very well qualified husbands have simply been unable to find jobs.

Well, we have decided that if it in fact becomes available, and they officially offer me the job, I will take it. I have faith. After working a full week, it was easier than I thought it would be to return to work while DH played Mr. Mom.

I'm glad you are okay with it. My brother played Mr. Mom for the first few months of my oldest niece's life. He was finishing up his PhD and then there was a little break between finishing and starting teaching at BYU. He really cherishes those months.
