I loved General Conference this year. There were talks that reminded me of myself, of friends, of family and it was just really, really good! My favorite quote was from Dieter F. Uchtdorf "don't hate me because I sin differently from you".
I think my favorite talk was Special Lessons by Ronald A. Rasband. I have to admit that I felt so cheated with Marsi. It took 5 miscarriages to get her, then her hospitalization after birth, then on top of it all...heart problems. That talk really made me have perspective and truly appreciate the special little girl with everything she brings into my life.
Was there a conference talk that just hit you like it was given just for you? I hope that you enjoyed it at much as me!
I love that quote by Dieter F. Uchtdorf. I think he said it was on a bumper sticker. It's so true isn't it!?
I don't have my notes handy, but I will have to grab them out and quote my favorite parts later.
And my mom had some similar experiences you've had. She had 5 miscarriages before being able to carry her first bio child (me) to term. And then when she was pg with triplets, one died. And her 2nd bio child was high needs/special needs.

I haven't watched it yet. Saturday my uncle was here all day. He's not LDS. Sunday I turned on the TV to put on the Roku and the lamp on the TV blew out! It was only 4 months old so it definitely shouldn't have (at least it's under warranty so we can return it). So I had to order a new lamp. It arrived yesterday so we have TV again. The internet was too slammed so we couldn't get in. The archives should be up now on the Mormon Channel on the Roku so now we can watch.
