Guess what ladies? I have a calling now! I've been going to relief society instead of YW's b/c I have Charlotte- but they haven't given me a calling until now! Our branch president called me last night wanting to meet with me- and you know how you can just tell it's about a calling? He was initially going to meet with me right after the 3rd block at 1:00 today- but postponed it until 3:00 so that added to my nervousness lol- but anywho- I've been called to be our RS's "Compassionate Service Coordinator" which involves remembering all the sister's birthdays, making sure things like taking meals to families where a family member is sick get done, and being attentive to concerns any of the sisters might have. I didn't expect to ever have an actual calling this young- much less one this big! I've never heard of this calling before in my life which makes me wonder if it was one they decided to create? Not that it matters! He told me that the RS president herself suggested me for this calliing! I'm so honoured but nervous too! I hope I don't fail! Just wanted to share the news with you guys!
I have definately heard of it, I just didn't know what thet person had to do, so now I know. I am excited for you. It is always nice to have a calling. I only have one for 2 more weeks. Then I move...I hope to get another calling soon.
Yea! Congrats! I'm sure you'll do a great job! And yes, I've heard of the calling before a number of times, so it's legit.
