It started Thursday afternoon (1/21) I was having semi regular contractions but could live through them....I just made myself comfortable and dealt with them....Nothing I hadn't handled before and didn't want to go in if nothing was going on....I got them to space out some so that night I went to bed and relaxed...Plus I didn't want to have the night nurse I couldn't stand....So I told myself unless my water broke I wasn't going in....The next morning the pressure was a lot more and lots more painful...DH had to go into work for a little bit so I took dd to school and told my friend who works there I didn't know who was picking dd up bc I had a feeling I wouldn't....I was trying to hold out for the AM bc my sister was working and dh was working....Well around 10 I called dh and told him he needed to come home...I couldn't get comfortable...Bath wasn't working and I just "knew" it was time...So after a few calls to figure out how to get dd picked up and taken care of and working out where the kids would be dh got home and we headed out....We get to the hospital and triage was backed up...luckily my doc walked out and we were laughing and joking while I waited for admin...My doc got annoyed though bc it was taking too long so she asked just for a triage room to check my cervix....She already told them to hold a room for me in L&D bc she didn't think I would stay in triage long...She was right I was a six and immediately taken back to a room....It took them an hour to find a vein to put an IV in...Then it took another hour for antibiotics and fluids....After the first round of fluids and antibiotics anastisia came in and gave me my epidoral...It took a while for both sides to take bc the cathiter kept slidding in...It was frustrating...Once both sides took my doc broke my water...Then my body kind of stalled at 7 for 90 min so my doc gave me a "whif" of pit and with in 45 min Easton arrived...He came out with the cord around his neck and they had to bag him and suction him twice...his first apgar was 4 but at 5 min he was a 9....we had a rough couple of days but now he's a perfect bundle of joy
