This will be a very short Birth story as I am REALLY tired and as it was a scheduled C-section, there wasn't a great deal of drama involved.. hehe
I went into hospital on Thursday for my scheduled C-section.. Waited 2 hours until they figured out what was happening with dr's and OR's etc.. Longest wait ever!!!.. Eventually, I got wheeled up to the Operating Theatre and was totally expecting a General rather than an epi.. But they did an epi !!! It was sooo much better and I was awake and saw him as soon as he came out!!!... It was a totally amazing experience and so glad I got to experience it...
Gabriel Scott was born 5th August at 11:38 am, weighing 4.34 kilos (aprox 9 and half pounds I think the conversion is... )...
He is just adorable and everything we could possibly imagine.. I was fairly sore on Thursday and Friday but Saturday started feeling a lot better.. I totally found the epi ALOT easier to recover from than the general from my previous pregnancies / births...
Well its Monday night here and I got discharged from hospital today, which I was so glad about.. I think they wanted to keep me in a little longer but I really wanted to come home to my boys.. Bf'ing is going well, apart from I did have some problems with attaching so have some sore nipples at the moment but I am hoping this will pass... My milk only came in last night / today so I am feeling quite uncomfortable and wondering why I didn't buy bigger bras... EEKK!!!... hehe
So apart from feeling like my tops are bursting open at the seams, uncomfortable, still a little sore and the BIGGEST swollen feet I have EVER seen... ( Even bigger than when I was pregnant!!! ....)
We are blisfully happy with our little bundle of joy.. He is just gorgeous even with the lack of sleep... hehe
