How much baby food do you let your LO eat?

We just started giving Kaylee solids three times a day (up from two) and I swear she would eat an ENTIRE jar and still want to breastfeed an hour later!!

Is this okay? Do you limit what you give baby or let him eat until he stops?

Alexis eats about 1/4 - 1/2 a cup of food 2 - 3 times a day right now. She never really wants more, and I also nurse her still after. Not sure what I'd do if she really wanted more... I might let her have a few more bites just to see how she does. Little bit more if she wanted more than that the next time etc.

Oh my! I'm I under feeding my baby? She is gaining weight just fine, actually I feel like she has gained a bunch since her last appointment.

I make my own baby food and only give her one ice cube of food (about 1 ounce) at dinner and about 2 table spoons of oatmeal at breakfast. Otherwise she still gets her bottles about 30-36 oz a day.

Zoe has 1/4 - 1/2 cup of food (fruit, veges or oatmeal) three times a day.

I always offer only a little bit for the first few months. I introduce solids for new tastes and textures, so I don't give them a substantial amount. Your baby will let you know how much she needs, so I wouldn't worry about not feeding her enough. What she doesn't eat in solids, she'll make up for in breastmilk or formula.

Tristan eats 2-3 jars a day and drinks breastmilk as well. If he wants more ill give it to him but usually one jar at a time fills him up. He hates rice and oatmeal so we just do the veggies and some fruits for now

This. You are not underfeeding your baby! I started Alexis on food because my Dr. pointed out her smallness... she's on the chart, but low, and suggested offering her food. The first week she took no more than a table spoon a DAY. The following week, she's gobbling it up! She still breastfeeds after each meal, and I say 1/4 to 1/2 cup because sometimes she goes for that 1/2 cup, but the reality is it's closer to a 1/4 cup most times. Now and then she gets into it, and goes for the 1/2 cup. Even then, she takes her booby after. My older girl didn't really get solids until 8 months, and even then, she didn't care for then really until 10+ months. She was fine.

I just started giving Lilli jar food twice a day this week. She gets 1/2 of a stage 2 jar for breakfast and dinner. She doesn't act like she wants more, so, I guess she's getting enough?!

We will feed about an oz or so. Much like Andrea we feed for taste and textures. Food before 1 is just for fun. Breastmilk/formula should be the main source of nutrition until then.
