Name: Becky
EDD: June 7th
Location: North Carolina
Baby number: This is my second baby
Have you had a pregnancy loss before? No
Are you high risk, at risk for preterm labor, or have you dealt with any other pregnancy complications? No, just lots of nausea this time.
What kind of birth experience are you hoping for? I am hoping to go somewhat natural in the hospital. No medication unless I need it. I want to see what my body can do.
Baby parenting style: I'm pretty laid back, but I plan to co-sleep, breastfeed, cloth diaper... and pretty much wing the rest.
Anything else about you that you'd like to share: If you feel comfortable with it later, I don't mind texting

Name: lauren
EDD: June 21st
Location: Florida
Baby number: 1st!
Have you had a pregnancy loss before? No
Are you high risk, at risk for preterm labor, or have you dealt with any other pregnancy complications? No, but I had lots of medical help and eventually IVF to get pregnant
What kind of birth experience are you hoping for? The plan is a natural water birth with a midwife at a birth center.
Baby parenting style: I don't know yet. But I will cloth diaper and breastfeed. I teach autistic kindergarteners so I don't know how my very structured teaching style will carry over to parenthood.
Anything else about you that you'd like to share: I don't mind texting either.

Do you work or stay at home? Where are you in North Carolina? We have a cabin in Blairsville, Georgia. It's about 15 minutes from Murphy, North Carolina. I love it up there.

I'm definitely a worker bee. I work at Blockbuster *barf* it is so lame, but at least it is a job. There aren't many opportunities up here, but DH and I are both going to college atm to try and better ourselves.

I check Google Maps and it seems like your Cabin in GA is like 5 hours away from me. Looks like a middle ground would be Asheville. I used to live in Ft. Lauderdale when I was younger So its crazy that that is where you are! 6800 NW 31st Way was my address haha I can't believe I remember that, I was only 9.

I can't believe you lived in ft lauderdale. Did you go to elementary school here? What are you studying in college?

How's your pregnancy going so far? You have a few weeks on me but I feel totally normal! I would love to feel pregnant.

I went to Elementary School at Cyprus Ele. School in West Palm Beach, I think! I really miss Florida, well, everything but the heat in the summer.

I definitely feel SO pregnant. I am exhausted all the time and I have morning sickness out the wazoo! A few weeks ago it was all-day nausea, but now it is only first thing in the AM and late at night. I have also started to wake up in the middle of the night to use the potty, which stinks! I'm used to getting like 8 straight, uninterrupted hours of sleep. Now I'm up every 2 or 3 hours. I'm kinda glad, though, because I wet the bed a couple of times during my last pregnancy.

How are you doing this week?

We finally told everyone. Well, DH told his friends at a party on Saturday night when he had one too many beers. The next day someone called to tell me it was on Facebook. So I had to scramble and tell everyone as quickly as possible. It's a relief that I don't have to hide it anymore.

I'm not too bad! Definitely starting to show a lot more! I am so excited for the rest of this pregnancy. I really can't wait to feel this baby movin! We told everyone before Thanksgiving - we were trying to wait, but it just didn't happen. Chris accidentally told someone, who "accidentally" told his brother, who "accidentally" told his wife, who 100% intentionally told our mother in law. At first I was totally cool with it, I didn't really think about it... but once I did think about it, the more and more upset I got. My MIL hasn't really said much to me at all, now. No congratulations, no how you feeling, nothing. I know no one but us is happy about this (we're really not in a good financial position, to be perfectly honest) but we needed this baby, if that makes sense. So anyways, now I'm secretly mad at my sister-in-law for stealing my thunder because this is most likely our last baby. Sure, my sis-in-law is totally excited, or acted like it, but blah... its just frustrating!

Sorry for venting, I haven't really shared that with anyone but Dh lol I had to get it out.

I can't believe your mother in law hasn't mentioned it. That's just rude. Has she mentioned it to your husband? It really doesn't matter if anyone's happy for you but you and your DH. Besides, I think there are like 50 girls on this board that are happy for you. Do you have relatives on your side of the family that you have told?

I also know all about sister in laws stealing your thunder! Mine husband's younger sister announced that she is pregnant the same week we did. From a one night stand. With a guy who will not acknowledge her now.

She is due 4 days after me. I am getting used to it very very slowly. I feel like a selfish jerk but this was supposed to be my special time and she's kind of killing it for me.

Anyway, I just posted three weeks worth of belly pics. They are so boring that I haven't been posting. When did you start showing with your first pregnancy?

Oh my gosh, with my first pregnancy I didn't start showing until I was like, 5 months. That is when people finally started asking if I was gaining weight, or pregnant. I went to my baby sister's birthday in February (3 months pregnant) and not a single person said anything.

That's crazy about your sister-in-law! How old is she? When my sister-in-law (same one) was pregnant with her last child about a year after mine was born, I threw the biggest hissy fit. For one, she had JUST split up with her husband/father of 3 kids and got with my brother-in-law, neither my brother-in-law nor her were legally divorced yet... plus I really wanted another baby right after DS. I didn't want to do this waiting 4 years thing lol Needless to say, I was not happy for her at all her whole pregnancy, especially after finding out she was having a girl. But hey, I get the last laugh now... she's wanted another baby and even asked me to have one for her because she had to have a hysterectomy after her last (4 kids in 5 years... yeah) and now I get to have the last baby, so ha.

I've told family on my side, but its kinda the same thing... no one is bouncing off the walls excited but us, although most of my family is handling it better than when they found out I was pregnant with Grayson... (Man with 3 kids already, not married, bad jobs, etc), now it's ok because we have Grayson and he's beautiful and we're married and STILL TOGETHER.

Just checking in since it's been a bit... I'm 16 weeks now. i really need to update some pictures lol Anyways, I had some bleeding Sunday night after doing the deed, which was scary for me, but DH thought it was nothing. I called the Dr. and they said the same thing, since I had a great pregnancy with no pre-term symptoms that I was probably ok, but if I wanted to be seen before Christmas, they would work me in. I figure I'll just wait, because it's less than 2 weeks til my next appointment anyways. Other than that, things are good. I've had a little funk (sinues/etc).

You sound more upbeat this week! Bleeding is scary. I also had some bleeding and found out I have placenta previa. I'm on pelvic rest for now. I'm in Boston for the holidays so I only have access to a computer for about 20 minutes a day. Are you doing anything special for the holidays?

Perfect! Do you have a name picked out yet? How are you doing this week?

I got a bladder infection this weekend. It was terrible. I went to urgent care at 6am and then after waiting for 3 hours they wouldn't treat me because of being pregnant. I stood in the office and cried. lol hormones! So I finally go ahold of my midwife and she was wonderful. I'm feeling better today but it's amazing how much more it takes out of you to be sick when you are pregnant.

Oh my! Last pregnancy I had yeast infections like CRAZY, this time, none *knock on wood*... maybe it's a girl thing!

As for names... not a clue. DH is convinced we will wait until we see her.... me, not so much. I've come up with a top 5 list so far of names he can choose from.... Scarlett, Lilah, Lucy, Norah, and Marleigh.... but I'm sure that will change hah
