Just found out today.... I'm about 10 days late and finally decided to test.....
So from EDD I'm due 8/11/2011 (1 week after my birthday).....
Just curious though, does anybody know of any good websites? I'm getting a $50 giftcard for a local bookstore so I can get some books,... but that'll be around Christmas time.
I'm looking for info about dr's appts and that sort of stuff. I guess I'm close to 6 weeks, and since I just found out, I imagine I need to go to the Dr's and confirm... how long after that do people usually get an u/s??
there is this one with info, babycenter that has info. you can usually just do a websearch of pregnancy or whatever. mayo clinic has good info as wll on their site. webmd as well. it'll jsut depend what you want.
when you get your first scan, and see the OB will depend on yoru area and clinic system and how they do it
My doctor took one at what they thought was 6 weeks, but I was really only 4 weeks (irregular cycle). They are taking a second one tomorrow. They will probably keep doing an u/s till they can date my pregnancy.
Congrats! The pregnancy journal is a great book. It has a lot of facts and tells you day by day what is going on and you can keep notes in it! very cool.

Thanks all! BF and I are trying to get a DR's appt for tomorrow, just to get a blood test or whatever to make sure that it is in fact positive. I have no doubt in my mind.
My last AF was Nov 4....
We are going to go to Borders later and check out some books and I'm checking out some websites too.
Has anybody told family or anything yet? My parents told me a couple months ago that they didn't want to be grandparents yet and wait a couple years... WOOPS.... bahahaha.
Congrats. Welcome. My due date is 8/11 too and I am also an august baby (august 7). I had an u/s last week and it was too early. I am going for another this Friday.
My last AF was Nov 4th too, so we're due date buddies! A lot of doctors will wait until 8 weeks to see you, and I don't know if this is the norm, but last time my doctor gave me a goody bag with prenatal vitamin samples and the What to Expect When You're Expecting. It's seriously like the pregnancy BIBLE. Also, you should go to your local grocery store and get prenatal vitamins if you haven't already!
I started taking prenatals before I knew I was pregnant because they are gummy... I hate pills... especially the smell of them... Thanks ladies, I'm going to try to get an apt with a local pregnancy resource center to get my confirmation hopefully today! Fingers crossed!
I'm due 8/11/11 also. Which is 5 days after my birthday. I guess we have more than one thing in common. Congrats! This is my first pregnancy so I don't know of any good books yet.
