If I were to make up a FB group for us, would you ladies join? I dont have any of you on my list on facebook but I thought with that we would be able to have who we want on the list and who we dont that way we would talk there without wondering if there is a fake around or not. If that makes any sense?

I don't believe that it would be a good idea. We do have quite a few other boards that have said doing a group on Facebook has affected the JM board. As a host, my goal is to keep this board moving with as little hinderance as possible. JMHO!

Ugh, I hope not, our June 09 PR totally disappeared. Everyone left to facebook because there was apparently some drama (I wasn't around enough to get what happened) and now NO ONE is in our PR. It was such a bummer! There are a couple of moms trying to keep things going, but it is sad and lonely.
Don't take this the wrong way but as fab. as you ladies are I won't be giving out my FB info to people I haven't met.

I like FB group but like pidge26 said, my Dec 09 PR completely disappeared and basically only operates of FB. I wouldn't mind adding the ladies I don't have already to my FB friends though

I'd join, and I'd definitely still post here too  And I'm willing to add any of you ladies. I figure it's not any more risky than filling up a friend list with people from Farmville or any other FB game like most people seem to do x)

I definitely prefer the more "private" boards as opposed to the public ones, for several reasons.

If it's going to affect our playroom, I don't really want to do it. I don't have access to facebook at work and that is when I am on justmommies most of the time. When I get home, I have 3 kids, a husband, and house to take care of and I don't get much time on the computer at night. I really enjoy being on here during the day and I would hate for our group to dissappear as the others have talked about. That's just my two cents though.

We will be getting a private forum. Christina is working on that. So please hold tight ladies.
I just really don't feel the need for a FB group. It's been shown in the past that if drama happens on the FB group, then it has been brought onto JM. We're trying to avoid all of that.

I don't get how fb could "cause" the drama.... It happens everywhere, let's not kid ourselves  I wouldn't blame fb for that...
I do see how it could slow down the ddc/ pr as people just switch to fb...
I like the idea, but I can see how it could be a disadvantage to the board in the long run...

I keep my FB account restricted to people I know in real life, just to keep me and my family protected. I am very careful about what I post there for professional and personal reasons. On JM, everything is a bit more public, so I am wary about that, but at the same time, nobody can run a Google search for me and find my profile here. Point is, I like having FB and JM separate.
