I completely forgot about this subforum.

Oh not much. I need to get some school work done and probably digging out. We got a lot of snow yesterday and last night. But other than that. . .just hanging out with my son.

What about you?
Are you working on any new sewing projects today?
(I am so envious, I wish I could sew, thought about breaking out the sewing machine and trying my hand at diaper covers but just not brave enough. )

Oh I'm jealous of the snow!

I've only been in one good snow fall when I lived in OK, and I was just like a little kid running around in that stuff hahaha actually driving in the stuff was not cool LOL but I still loved the white covered scene

You should totally give it a try! You can even cut up some old tshirts just to practice I have been doing that lately since I just can't keep spending money on fabric hahahaah

Mean while I just spent an hour ripping apart a diaper I made wrong... Lol can't get em all right I'm going to try and sew it again in a few haha

You know I might just give it a try after all. I didn't think about using old fabric.

I'd give you all the snow you wanted. We got 13 inches of snow in the past 24 hours. Booo!! Luckily I managed to get out before it hit, so we can just kind of wait it out while the city gets everything cleaned up.

Are you going to be a SAHM?

Are you finding out the gender?

I'm sorry for playing 100 questions but just thought it would be nice to get know one another. I noticed you are due 5 days before me. . .should be exciting to see which of us delivers first. And you are also 1 month older than me. But that's pretty much all I know about you. So tell me alittle bit about yourself.

Lol

Yes, I'm going to be staying home... At least that's the plan for now... What about you?

And I'm planning on finding out the sex, can't wait! Should be Feb 17 or 18

As for me, well I'm originally fro Puerto Rico. I started dating my husband really young and we got married when I was 20 (he was 25). He's in the Air Force, so we moved to Oklahoma when he started being active duty. I went to school for teaching and by the time I was done, it was time to move again! Now we live in Key West, Florida... Been here for about 7 months.

I tried finding a job here teaching, but it didn't happen... Found a teachers assistant job, but that only lasted a few months for me bc it was sucking and I was dealing with some really bad attitudes...

So yeah, now I'm home... Killing time with the sewing Im taking a quilting class too... Idk... I haven't made too many friends, so anything I can find to keep me busy is good!

So yeah, that's kinda my story haha Whats yours?

My story:

I am orginally from Pennsylvania, moved to Iowa when I was 13, met my husband in 9th grade (He was in 11th) and we dated for a couple years. After we broke it off, I decided to graduate early and move back to Pennsylvania to help out my grandmother. After a year of being out there, my ex-boyfriend (now husband) called me up and asked if he could come visit me. He came out and vacationed for a week and I decided to move back with him. (It makes me smile thinking about that!)

We lived together for awhile and then married when I was 19. A year and a half later we welcomed our first baby (a son, Timmy) and here we are again.

My working situation is not the greatest right now. My husband is a Mobile DJ, and I just got fired from my job of 3-1/2 year for Insurbordination---long story short I "allegedly" walked out of a writeup. But I am about a month away from graduating with a certificate in Medical Transcription and hope to work from home when this baby is born.

Do you have any siblings?

I have: 2 little sistesr, 2 little brother, and an older brother. I am a twin. (She is Danielle, but she passed away from a motor vehicle accident in March of 2009.) The other sibling are all half or step but just brothers and sisters to me.

How many kids do you want to have?

Me - I want 4 but we shall see the situation after this one is born. I don't want to bring a baby into this world if I am unable to provide for them, if ya know what I mean.

I have always wanted to learn to knit and crochet. Thought about buying the kit at Wal-Mart. But have never really gotten to it. Wowza!! I wrote a back.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your sister I can't imagine...

I only have one older brother. He's in PR with the rest of my family and Dh's.

I want to have "ideally" 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls hahaha. But dh wants 2.... So we compromise at 3 I guess. But I guess after the first we will just see how we feel... I do want my kids close together in age.

I can crochet a little, but I don't do anything fancy... I few winters ago I made some scarves... One for me and one for Dh... Their still my favorite haha so soft!

I tried knitting and boy was that harder! Maybe I will give it a try again at some point...

I like all that artsy stuff. Photography, painting, drawing, crafts... Whatever, I'll do em all hahaha. I used to never have time to do that stuff because of school... I just graduated this past summer so this has been a weird time in my life with no school and no work (well, at least not for long). So I'm just trying to find things to do that I enjoy... It's nice, I just wish I had some friends to share with. Ever since we moved, Ive felt so isolated... Ive made 2 friends here... One has 3 kids and works, so it's hard to do anything... The other is my age but in a totally different place in her life... She goes out a lot and I would go with her, but now that I'm preggo I feel like there isn't much we could do together... We would get drunk together most of the time hahahaha yeah, can't do that now!

Wow!! I can totally relate to you!!

I am so far away from my family as well. All of my family, except my little sister and my dad, live in PA. I miss everyone alot. I only have like 2 friends as well. One has 2 kids, is pregnant with her 3rd and works full time. (She actually just found out that she's having another little girl :wub) And 1 is in a very serious relationship and in the "honeymoon" stage. I used to work with this friend at my old nursing home, but we don't see each other much now that I am no longer employed there.

So I can totally totally relate.

Since I've not been working, I've really been trying to work my tail off in school. I want to get this done so I can be working again. This is the first time since I was 16 that I haven't had a job. It's so. . .awkward. I am kind of embarassed because I have no motivation or energy to do anything. My house is a mess, laundry sitting in baskets, it's very depressing. Sometimes I think it would be nice to just get out but it never happens, not for me.

But thank goodness I have a little boy to keep my company. He's been super snuggly since I've been home alot. I know that I'm not in FL but anytime you need to vent or just wanna talk I'm here. I check justmommies alot because I do my schooling online.

Hope that's not to crazy stalker creepy for you. I'm just lonely, ya know?

Lol it's cool. I check JM all the time cause I'm home all the time... Dh gets mad at me sometimes for being online too much hahaha

Lately I have been sewing a lot, he seems to like that better than me at the computer...

I've been trying to catch up on cleaning since i have been staying home... This house is usually a mess and it's hard to keep up with it cause it's so small... Some things just don't have a place to be kwim? I feel like no matter how clean the house is, it still looks messy and cluttered...

Ive been looking into going to school online, but I have no idea what to do... I'm not sure what to study, and I'm not sure the online format is for me... I enjoy being in a classroom. And there aren't any options for me here in Key West... I'm hoping becoming a mom will make things seem a little more complete, only wish this kiddo were coming sooner hahaha

I know how you feel about wanting the baby to come sooner!! Me too!!

What do you got planned for tomorrow?

I have a Dr. appointment at 1. This should be the first time we hear the heartbeat via Doppler and I am super excited. Other than apointment, I plan on hitting the books hard.

*sigh*
I can't wait to be graduated.

Would you want to work from home, or get a job outside of the home after completing school?

Baby's heart rate was 155.

It took a couple minutes for Dr. to get it.

Otherwise good appointment.

I am so glad that you had such a good time. I know about those long drives. I am wanting to make a trip back out to PA before baby and that is a 17 hour car expierence! It's always nice getting back home though.

I have been great. We finally managed to sell our bike (so that's some comfort of knowing I got this next month paid for)! Other than that I have just been lounging around the house and taking it easy. I have been so tired lately. But. . . .I have been feeling baby move alot!! This is my most favorite part of pregnancy!

How have you been?

(I am getting so excited about finding out what your little bean is!! 1 more week or so to go!!)

All good here...

I have been working on my baby registry! Finally picked out a stroller and a car seat...

I feel like I have such a mess of things I want and my baby shower is only a month away... I'm glad I'm getting one, but omg, I feel so stressed out thinking I only have a few weeks to pick out stuff!?!?!

I didnt think that having it early would be such a head ache hahahaah

I have been feeling good! I'm jealous that you are feeling so much movement.... I still feel like every now and then I'm "sure" I'm feeling stuff.... but it's just so random and infrequent that it makes me doubt it all over again haha

I'm hoping in the coming weeks it will be more obvious!

Is there a reason you are having your baby shower so early? I had two with Timmy but it was much later in my pregnancy. Is your family going to be in town?

I think it's super cool that you are registering. I never did that with Timmy because I didn't know if he was a boy or girl. You haven't found out ye either, (at least I don't think so) are you registering for all gender neutral stuff?

We live far away from family (everyone is in PR) and have to fly out to see them. They wanted to throw me a baby shower and I picked March b/c my cousin would be in town and it's really important to me for her to be there... So yeah, other wise it wouldn't have been sooo early!

I will find out the sex in a week or so... so people will have a chance to buy me gender specific stuff if they want to... but I'm all about the neutrals I hate that all pink, or all boy stuff!!! LOL

This is the 1st grand child on both side, so I seriously doubt we will be spending too much money on this little guy hahahah He or she is going to be spoileddddd.... (Well... we are too I guess! )

Oh and scratch the "not feeling baby" deal...

LOL!!!!

I finally opened a present my mom had gotten me that was this little thing to listen to the baby... I thought it was lame, cause really its just a microphone to put on your belly... But I used to last night and it was really cool!!!

I could hear and feel the baby at the same time, so it was a MILLION times more obvious that what I have been feeling lately is NOT gas, but rather the baby kicking hahahahaha

I'm such a goof!!! hhahahaa

I've been paying attention now, and I feel them almost all the time?!?!?!?! I just thought my baby was indigestion LOLLLLLL
