Somehow I hurt my neck the other day. I tweaked it wrong picking up my 50 pound 5 year old son (he's really tall). I have been in intense pain ever since. I'm sure it is just a strained muscle or something but it hurts so much. I have tried heat, cold, icy hot, tylenol and nothing is helping. I can't even turn my neck it hurts so bad. I actually have to go to my hair dresser today to get my hair washed because I can't lift my arms to wash it. I don't really have a primary physician that I see so I'm not sure if I should just wait it out or what. This is day 4 and it's not any better. I am the tough it out type. What would you do? They couldn't really do much for me anyway right?

Ouch!
I remember doing that right before a shift at work and I could barely turn my head to check people out. Not fun. I remember the pain. I just stood up funny and something clicked. I am also the wait it out type. Being 4 days though, I might put in a call and ask if there is anything they can do.
Have your hubby massage it as much as you can stand it.

Oh no!
Would you be able to get a massage? Or see a chiropractor to help looses that up? You shouldn't be lifting 50 lbs anyways!!! That's alot! I know it happens and you do what you have to do especially with kids but you need to rest!
I hope it gets better!!

Ouch, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that right now! Try a chiropractor. I go to my chiro (just went yesterday) and they help a lot with that type of things. Call different ones and see if they see pregnant women and explain about your neck & see if they can do anything. I'm sure you'd find one that could help. Good luck and hope it gets to feeling better soon!

I would suggest trying to find a chiropractic office that also offers physical therapy and massage therapy. Mine is like that, so you get the combination of all the services and it is awesome! I really hope you feel better soon!
