(So some of you may have seen my vent about DH in the SOTS, but we "made up" so no more complaining, lol)

My mom is flying in from North Dakota on May 12th for my baby shower. I can't wait to see her. Well, she e-mailed me and said she is packing up a big box of things she has been buying for the baby and is going to mail them to me. She asked me to please NOT open the box because she wants to wrap it all when she gets here and let me open it all.

I told DH that if he gets the box before I am home from work then not to open it. He said, "So are we going to open it???" I called him silly and he said, "Come on...we can re-tape it." LOL

It makes me laugh because he hasn't really cared much about all of the clothes and such I've bought. He didn't go goo-goo-ga-ga over the diaper bag I was so happy about or when I bought the changing table and he figured out he has to paint it, LOL.

But to hear him get all excited about opening a box of...probably clothes is funny.

Does your DH/SO/Kids/etc do anything funny like that when it comes to the new baby/baby stuff? (I know Ro and Rachel probably have some funny stories about those kids of yours!!)

Nothing super funny, DH likes anything we get for Alexis.. in fact he likes things we get for Kairi. He loves having daughters and I think it's super sweet when he gets excited over picking out paint colours, and talking about the little accessories we'll get them. They are going to own him as they get older, they do now, but it's only going to get worse when they get older!

That's cute! Dalton has been way more excited than Tim was either time... Everything we have for the baby he walks around with before we pack it away saying this is for MY baby.

My DH is super excited. I think at times he is more excited over the material stuff more than I am. DH is also very emotionally attached to this lil one already as well and gets emotional about things. Last night his 18yo daughter called and left a message on his cell caws she heard there was a tornado headed towards the town we live in (were fine btw) but she asked if he was ok and was rebecca and the baby ok... DH said he almost cried caws she asked if the baby was ok.. He so sensitive!

That's so cute.
My husband doesn't get excited about baby stuff at all. He's excited about baby though. I wish he was more interested in all the gear and such.
