How are you stocking up your LO's diapers. I was thinking of doing 1 box of newborn, 2 1's and 2's for now. What do you think?

I got 2 boxes of NB, and 3 boxes of 1's. And now I'm onto 2's.

I think that's probably good for starters. One of my friends wasn't able to use newborn diapers on her son at ALL. She was so mad As far as boxes, though, you might consider doing jumbo packs at biggest for the NB. I know we didn't use that many of them.

Yeah I'm just curious....what is the diaper size thing for the newborn? Do they last like a week? I was thinking about getting diapers, but I really don't know which ones to get, or what size

Newborn is generally up to 10 pounds, and usually has a cord cut-out.
Size 1 is generally 8-14 pounds.
Size 2 is generally 12-18 pounds.
Size 3 is 16-28 pounds, size 4 is 22-37 pounds,
size 5 is more than 27 pounds and
size 6 is more than 35 pounds.
If your baby is wearing diapers that don't have the cord cutout, you can just fold down the front so that it won't irritate the cord.
Each manufacturer can have somewhat different sizes, but those are normally around that size.
My 8lb 9oz baby was in newborn for about a week - we only had one pack - and then moved right in to size 1 with no trouble.
You can see that the sizes sort of overlap - even if your baby isn't at the max weight for the diaper size, if they are getting rashes or red marks you can move them up a size and that might help. The fits are all different.
Dalton never wore a size 6.

I'll get MAYBE one small package of NB size, definitely not a box. My son never even used them for more than a day or 2, he was 7lb13oz and they were snug on him after a few days, which lead to blowouts..we didn't even end up using half of what we had. I'll buy probaby 2 boxes of 1's to start with, we used those for a little while.

My baby shower is next Saturday so I am going to see what I get then. I know that my sister and my cousin always buy a big box of size 2 and size 3 diapers for baby showers so I am thinking they'll do the same for me, who knows.
I am just going to see what I get then go from there.

I'm going to pick up a box of size NB and a box of Size 1s...I'll start now and buy them once a month or stock up if I can find a good sale.

My DD was 8lb 9oz and the NB size was perfect...she used them until the one pack I had ran out, then we moved to 1s. She could have probably went through another pack, but I went ahead and used the 1s since I had stocked up.
For now, I have 1 pack of NB and a box of 1s. I'll probably get another box of 1s, then two boxes each of 2s and 3s.

I have 3 packs of size 1 and a handful of newborn that Sarah didn't use. I will probably buy a big box of size 1 before the baby is born and maybe one other pack of newborns. I expect this baby to be at least 8lbs, so I don't want too many newborn dipes.

I'll probably only stock up 1 box of newborns. If you have any extras, you can always exchange at Walmart!!
