I was having contractions 10 min. apart for two days and then DH came to see us, since I was staying with friends by the hospital and he had to get his hours in at work so he could get his hrs in. Well DTD always puts me into full blown labor when my contractions are about 10 min apart or so. So five hrs later my contractions went from 10 min. apart to 4 min and by the time I got to the hospital they were 1.5 min. apart. The nurse checked me and I was just 1 and 75% effaced, they had me walk around for an hr and she checked me again and I was a 3-4 and 90% effaced. Labor was really easy. Total from when we got to the hospital to when she was born was about 9 1/2 hrs or so. She was out in about 1/2 a push. Her head was already out by the time my doc got there and I wasn't even pushing. She was tiny for 38 weeks. Newborn clothes swallow her. She is perfectly healthy though but she does has some jaundice right now and its pretty cloudy so I haven't been able to get her in any sunshine so I am going to go to the store tonight and get me a vit D supplement so she can get some extra through BF. She is BF great, my milk came in yesterday. She is sleeping wonderfully. She woke up once the first night home and two times last night. I try to wake her to feed her but it she only sucks once or twice and then goes right back to sleep. She is a great baby

Did they say anything to you about waking her up at night more frequently to feed, esp. with the jaundice? I remember with DD they wanted me to wake her every 3 hours because the jaundice makes them so sleepy and not eating makes it worse since eating/pooping is what gets rid of it.

Introducing Olivia Rae!!!
. She was tiny for 38 weeks. Newborn clothes swallow her. She is perfectly healthy though but she does has some jaundice right now and its pretty cloudy so I haven't been able to get her in any sunshine so I am going to go to the store tonight and get me a vit D supplement so she can get some extra through BF.
