Tuesday when I went to the OB for my regular appointment they informed me that I have to start coming twice a week. I now need to have nonstress tests and weekly ultrasounds which of course can't be on the same day. Man! I wish they had told me that before...I'm still working full time and these appointments really cut into business hours!

Do docs not think communicating these things is important!?!? Grrr!!!

Yeah I was completely unimpressed when my 15 minute appointment turned into an hour long appointment because I had to start the nonstress tests that day. I was also pretty annoyed that I get monthly ultrasounds but those aren't good enough anymore and I have to have weekly ones every Friday. At this point in my pregnancy I really don't want to have to work long hours to make up the time I miss when I'm at the doctor.

I love my midwife due to this very reason, she always tells me whats next and what to expect, she will actually come in the room and sit down, put her papers down and chat for a while each time! I cant stand when I am blindsided and dont have to be.

They should be communicating that a little bit clearer. My doc schedules some of my NST's and u/s for me so I don't have to. She has always been up front since day 1 about what to expect with this twin pregnancy. Sorry they haven't been giving you a heads up on things!

Military doctors or at least the ones here are on crack. This is my 6th so I know the "normal schedule of appt should be" I had my last appt on May 31 which I was one day shy of 33wks and literaly a 5 min appt (weight, bp, doc comes in does HB) haven't peed in a cup whole time. My next appt isn't until June28 when I will be once again 37wks. I was informed that after that i wil come back in 2wks at 39wks and a week later at 40.

Isn't suppose to be once you hit 36 you go weekly? Sorry to hear that your doc isn't that bright either.

I have to have the extra testing because of my sickle cell which they have known I have since day 1. Pretty lame of them I must say! I should have known about it weeks ago. Oh well!

Pepsi - I can't believe your doc isn't seeing you every week. That's really odd! Military doctors definitely aren't the cream of the crop!! You haven't peed in a cup at all?!?!
