There are several cultures around here that swear by them, especially post cesarean. I'm thinking I want to try one..............
Soooooooooooo.....

Does anyone have any actual experience with using one?

Which brand did you use?

Did you actually wear it for the full 6-8 weeks?

Did you find it to help?

Here are 2 of the ones I was looking at

Tauts - Belly Wraps | BabooshBaby.com

or

Belly Bandit Helps Shrink and Tighten Your Belly

I was surprised that the more commercial ones were actually much cheaper than the "medical" ones

I've been wearing one...I forget which one but its a common commercial belly wrap thing. I haven't been wearing it constantly but regardless if it shrinks my belly, it really helps that loose organ explosion feeling that comes with after birth. I think it was worth the money.

I don't have one, but I clicked on it looking to see what others had to say as I was thinking about getting one

I posted about it a week or two ago

http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f1...2894-best.html

Here I am 2 days PP after wearing it ALL the time. I have not been wearing it as much lately because I am having problems with a slightly prolapsed bladder and I don't want to add more pressure to my pelvic floor.

Here's the binder (It's a BFF Belly Bandit)

I think you've got a lot of people interested in what others have to say, but nobody has their own experience with them. *from july DDC* I'd really like to see what people think to know if I should try it out later, but I have no experience with them myself.

Hi! Lurking from july... I used the gabrialla binder (amazon) and my stomach really went back after my 2 other pregnanies. I just got a new one to use after this baby is born. If anything it helps with support and looking slimmer I totally think that it helped me!

I am wearing undies with serious abdominal support. People are commenting that I've gone back to shape really quick, but I point out that at the moment it's the undies lol!

My belly has already gone down to it's normal size, what I am having problems with are my hips. Everything fits until I try to get them over my hips. Do the belly bands work on hips?

No I don't think they do. I have a mostly flat belly from the binder but my jeans will not go over my hips yet.

Give it just a few more weeks. With my previous pregnancies, I had this issue. My stomach returned but my rear flattened and my hips were larger, but by 6-ish weeks, my rear had filled out again and my hips were back to normal. My body just had to "rearrange" itself

I was actually able to get some pants on yesterday that didn't fit me before I got pregnant, and now they do (they were too small before getting pregnant), they were tight, but I got them on and buttoned up! So something good is happening!

I am using the belly bandit as well but very sporadically. I don't know if it's helping me flatten my belly, but the extra support is nice.

i have one from the hospital that they put on my after the c-section. It looks just like the ones I saw at Motherhood Maternity. I like it, BUT I had a reaction to the adhesive they put on your stomach during the c-section and the belt makes it inflamed and itchy all over again. I will start wearing it again after the rash goes away.

Laurenj915-- you are making me totally jealous...just sayin'.
AnnaBanana77-- When you've had as many kids as us...things take a little longer to get back to normal (at least that's my excuse!)
