Had my 36 week appt. she said I am still measuring 29 weeks (i'm 36) so she decided to check me and she said I am 1 cm dilated and bp was 121/80 and baby's hb beat is 130range so everything else was great. With my first DD i was 1cm for 3 days then went into labor.

My question is can't you stay 1cm for awhile before you go into labor?? She did tell me if go into labor now she won't stop anything that is the only reason I am asking because she has me a little worried that it could be soon.

You can stay 1-2 cm for weeks. I think Ashley for 4 cm for a few weeks too.

You can stay dilated for quite awhile! Sounds like a good appt!

Staying at 1cm for weeks is more common in subsequent pregnancies than in firsts. It always *could* be soon, but I think you're more likely to sit there for a while now than with your first.
