I love all of this Christmas talk...!

Do you hang stockings?
If so, do they have names on them or are they just for decoration?
Do you stuff the stockings?
For DH: What goes in his?
Do you fill your own stocking or does DH take care of it?
What about for the kids?

I used to love stockings. My mom used to have the regular red ones with our names on them, but as we got older she wanted fancy stockings that matched her Victorian decor and stuff so we didn't have our names and we stopped the stocking stuffing tradition.

But when we were younger, she used to put small things like Christmas socks, chapsticks, mini lotions, a little bit of candy, etc. It was so much fun.

If so, do they have names on them or are they just for decoration?Name's. My MIL made ours when we got married and they have our names embroidered. She just made Savannah a matching one.
Do you stuff the stockings? Yes
For DH: What goes in his? small enough gifts, candy, chap stick, etc
Do you fill your own stocking or does DH take care of it? That would be nice. We did it one year, but the tradition hasn't kept going.
What about for the kids? Well, I will be in charge or we will. It is our first year so I'm pretty excited to do it.

Do you hang stockings? Not really, nowhere to hang them, but I put them out on the couch the night before Christmas. So they are there waiting in the morning.

If so, do they have names on them or are they just for decoration? We don't have special stockings here, we do at IL's, here it's whatever I fill up. We have a lot from over the years.

Do you stuff the stockings? YES! Also, i wrap things that go in them! I love wrapping, so it's a bit overboard, but I think it's fun opening sooo many teeny tiny presents!

For DH: What goes in his? Screen protectors, Lifesaver book thing, Toblerone, video game, chapstick, various bathroom things he might need like spray, nailclippers, face cream, whatever, a little photo of the girls and myself... anything else that is small, goes in there. I overload!

Do you fill your own stocking or does DH take care of it? I fill my own, but DH sneaks stuff in there when it's time.

What about for the kids? I fill them too, I do it all. Kairi gets all sorts of hair stuff, little notepads and pencils, magnets, socks, mitts, nail polish, chocolates, fruit snacks, a stuffed toy, and again, anything else that fits. Alexis will get some socks, a stuffed toy, some teethers, some soothers, not much for her yet really.

Stockings are my favorite decoration. My mom use to make ours out of these by number kits So I continued the tradition with my family. I Just finished Alaina's the other day and I started it when I found out she was a girl.
Brett fills mine and I fill his. I do the girls. I usually put a movie or dvd in his and candy. It's always different though.

I have to call my Dad every year to remind him to fill my mom's stocking. I use to pick up to for him to fill it with haha.

no names yet. I've been meaning to embroider them for awhile, but I keep forgetting.

yes! It's my favorite part of Christmas morning. My mom was always amazing at stuffing stockings, and I hope my kiddos feel the same way about their stockings one day

For DH: What goes in his?
a movie and/or an xbox game, socks, underwear, gum, candy, a home improvement magazine, sometimes a gift card for coffee, pjs

DH does it.

What about for the kids?
I love doing their stockings. When they're tiny like Evan, they just get a few things, like a book, jammies, soothers, a few small teething toys. I get to have a bit more fun with Jenna's this year; I'll add a movie, some new underwear and socks, maybe a lip gloss, some hair accessories.

Do you hang stockings? Yup, we don't have a fireplace so I decorate our stairs and hand them off there.

If so, do they have names on them or are they just for decoration? Some of them have names, they are all hand knit by my mom so it just depends if she knit the names into that particular one. She made me, chris and DD ones two years ago becuase thats what I wanted for xmas from her and she just gave me Coltons when I was over there for thanksgiving.

For DH: What goes in his? Usually socks, gum, an orange, cologne, pair of work gloves, boxers if i can fit them, nuts, etc..

What about for the kids? Abby always gets a big bag of pistachios (those are her favorite), candy, sock, underwears, nail polish, some necklaces that sort of them. Colton will prob get socks, small toys not too much for him this year.

Do you hang stockings?We don't have a fireplace currently, but I have tacked them to the wall or hang them on their door knobs. But in our new place we have a fireplace so I'm excited!
If so, do they have names on them or are they just for decoration?We have names on ours that I did with glue and glitter...not very well I should I add.

For DH: What goes in his?Some candy, a cd or a movie...not much goes in the grown-ups stockings.
Do you fill your own stocking or does DH take care of it?I usually fill it but their is usually a little extra surprise in the stocking from DH
What about for the kids?Pretty much candy type stuff. At my house as a kid it would only be candy and fruit, but I got a lot of good ideas from this that others do...thanks! lol
