How is your baby growing? We had our well visit today and dd is....
Height 24.5
Weight 11 pounds 5 ounces.
Dr. is getting a bit concerned about her lack of growth and wants me to bring her back in for a weight check before her next appt. at 9 months.

I'm sure it's not that serious since the dr. didn't want to do anything about it right away. Is your baby only breastfeeding or formula?

My son was 15 pounds at his 4 month appt. and 25 inches.

BF. I'm not really worried about it. My mom's side of the family is small. She seems healthy and is active. I worry to say that though, that she'll end up needing testing. Dr. suggested thyroid off the top of her head.

I've got a peanut, too. Mine was 4.14 at birth so I think she's done FABULOUS. She is only 10.10 at 6 months on November 26th.

We just started doing solids more regularly and I've increased the nursing sessions.
She REFUSES formula. Could be the bottle, though.

My doctor tested her thyroid at her 2 week checkup since she was such a small fry. All came back normal so we are not worried about that just yet. We do have to go back for a weight check before the 9 month also. I've been keeping an eye on her weight here at home and yesterday she weighed just under 12lbs so hopefully that is accurate.

Wow .. such tiny little ones. Sometimes they are just small. I have a friend at church with an 18 month old who is not even 22 lbs, and here I have a 6-month old boy that is over 18 (they both are in size three diapers .. amazes me!). But her girl is perfectly healthy, just a slim, petite little girl.

Both Noah and Abigail are growing like weeds. Noah went from being 10-20 percentile at 4 months, to 60-70 percentile a 6 months, so he definitely had a growth spurt in there (he weighs 18 lbs 1 oz . I forget the height). Abigail, who was gaining on him before this, is back to over a lb smaller again at 'just' 16 lb 9 oz. Let's just say they are getting heavy!

Khlo at 6 months was 26 inches long and 12 lbs 14 oz. And she's FF and was eating solids for about a month at that point.
