Just wondering who here is using elimiation communication or some form of toilet training right now?

About a month back someone here posted about EC which I had been looking into.
Decided my schedule wouldn't let me fully use it, however we got a potty chair for the babe about 2 weeks ago.
Since he's on a predictible schedule I sit him on it each morning for about 15 minutes....haven't changed a poopy diaper in 2 weeks!

Not only do I have less mess to clean, but he LOVES his potty chair!
I basically act like a clown for 15 minutes (songs, puppets, books, tossing a ball...) while he sits there and does his business. I try to do it while my husband is in the shower as it seems the sound of running water makes him pee more.
I think it's relaxing for him to sit there too. And speaking of sitting, it's the only place where he will sit still. So it has become the only place where I can read to him. Ironic because I was worried that he would never stay on a potty because he is constantly on the go.

I draw the line at posting my babe's butt on the internet, but trust me, he looks super cute on his little toilet.

Aww, how cute! Nothing about Miles is predictable so it'd be quite a task to try EC here. But I do think it's super awesome if it works for your family, so kudos to you!

I'll have to look into that, never heard of it. But Parker isn't very predictable, he poops all day long. HAHA!

We EC with our baby and have since she was 6 weeks. I don't think of it as potty training, although she is used to using it. And that was actually embarrassing cause she used her booster seat for the first time at grandparent's house this weekend and she pooped both times. So any baby sized plastic chair is now a potty, I guess

She used to give better cues, but now I miss more poops than I catch :/ And peeing has always been random except for evening/overnight when there are less distractions for both of us. Overall I like it, and she likes it too. DH is pretty enthusiastic about her potty and recently got us a new one.

Gah! I spoke too soon. He pooped twice in his diaper today.
He pooed only a little this morning, so I figured more was coming but didn't have time to hang out by his toilet any longer. An hour later...it was in the diaper.

This evening he was playing in his room and went to the potty and was playing with it. I scolded him and made him get away. 5 minutes later an awful stench came from his diaper. *sigh* I feel bad, he was trying to tell me he had to poop and I pushed him away from the potty. Hope I haven't confused him.
