We're having chicken tenderloin and.........I haven't decided. DH can't eat much so I bought the tenderloins because they are smaller (and less calories!) I'll probably have salad and broccoli with cheese sauce, yum. DH can't have veggies right now. So I'm not sure what side I will make for him!

not sure - DS has a dr appt an hour away at 4:40 today. So if the kids are good, maybe I'll get them McD's or if I'm feeling cheap, cereal.

I'm not feeling well (my throat's all swollen) so maybe I'll let DH have leftovers and I'll have toast again (third night in a row).

I just seared a soup bone, which is now in the slow cooker. I'll add some beans and potatoes later. Also whatever else I can think to get rid of from the fridge. It'll be some kind of stew like soup later.

Ok, I just put a meat loaf in the crock pot. With any luck it'll be done by 6ish. Hopefully. Mashed potatoes and corn to go with.

do yu just make it like normal, and just use the crock pot to bake it? I haven't tried that yet...

Wow, I'm a loser compared to you all. I just pulled a package of Purdue chicken nuggets out of the freezer, which I plan to pair with instant mashed potatoes and a canned veggie du jour. The girls have a softball game at 5:45 so we won't get an actual dinner time (we leave at 5 and get home around 8). It was either this or fast food.

Pretty much. I got a later start then I would have liked, but it's better than heating up the whole house for it. You can cook it on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6. I'm using high. I prefer low better.

I do this more than I'd care to admit.

Im coming to your house for dinner!
I have no flippin clue. I didn't get to the store so I don't have enough peppers for my stir fry, then I thought I would do fish curry but don't have everything I need to make that either so I am exasperated.

that sounds good! I need to get some recipe ideas going and make this dang shopping list and meal plan. I keep just shopping one day at a time or scrounging the cabinets till I can piece something together, which is what I did yesterday.

I just started meal planning about a month ago. I pick out enough dinners for two weeks and make my shopping list. So far I've made no extra trips to the store. Every morning I just pick a meal off the list and take out what I need.
Rachel likes this.

Allrecipes has an app that lets you set certain criteria like an ingredient or cook time and will give you random recipes. You can even specify certain dietary needs.

I'm hoping for some chicken and rice or mashed potatoes, ground beef and veggies all mixed together. We're high class around here
