Do they have a favorite?
Do you keep them away from certain foods still?
How often do your feed your LO solids?
Have you started your LO on solids yet? Well if solids are purees .... yes.
If so when did you start? 5 1/2 months
If not, when do you plan on starting? Does your LO like or dislike certain foods? Madeline doesn't love fruits as much as veggies but if you mix them together she likes them more.
Do they have a favorite? She does love graham crackers. We have tried puffs she isn't excited about them. Mum mums are great though. Otherwise veggies - sweet pototes, carrots, and squash are great. Not as excited about peas though.
Do you keep them away from certain foods still?
How often do your feed your LO solids? dinner every day - sometimes lunch right now.

Have you started your LO on solids yet?
YES
If so when did you start?
On his 6 Month Birthday
If not, when do you plan on starting? Does your LO like or dislike certain foods?
He loves bananas, pears, peaches, and sweet potatos. He will tolerate prunes, avacado, and peas. Thats all he has had so far.
Do they have a favorite? Sweet Potatos
Do you keep them away from certain foods still?
High allergy foods and dairy
How often do your feed your LO solids?
Breakfast and/or dinner. Once or twice a day.
Wanted to add: Nathan does awesome with self feeding puffs and mum mums. And yogurt melts
I didn't know that you could give them the puffs or mum mums already. Is that only if they have teeth? Kynslee is still working on her bottom 2 teeth so she still 'gums' everything. I have given her a piece of french bread to gum but didn't really know if I should but she enjoyed it and kept her busy while we finished eating -lol!
Kynslee has been on cereal since about 4 months and baby food since about 5 1/2 months.
Kynslee loves apple sauce, sweet potatoes, pears, squash, and will tolerate peas, mixed veggies and most fruits and vegetables. She likes prunes but will also spit up the rest of the day after eating them for some odd reason.
Her favorite is probably sweet potatoes and apples/apple sauce
She doesn't like green beans. And, she doesn't care for meats. So, I don't give them to her that often.
I give her food usually in the morning and then the evening. She sometimes gets cereal before bedtime also.
Have you started your LO on solids yet? yes
If so when did you start? 4 months, but he rarely had it that month
Does your LO like or dislike certain foods? He doesn't care for meat, carrots, and some of the beechnut stage 2 dinners.
Do they have a favorite? All friuts, green beans, squash, and sweet potatos
Do you keep them away from certain foods still? Yes, acidic fruits, honey, things he can choke on, things that are hard to chew, and stage 3.
How often do your feed your LO solids? 3 times a day
Madeline doesn't have any teeth. Mum mums, graham crackers, puffs are all quickly disolved as they gum them. I might try kix soon. I think once they are sitting they say that they can start with some of those things. We did mum mums at least by 6 months. I was so much more cautious the first time around - I am more willing to give things earlier this time around.

Kieran is eating food. He likes bits of waffles, diced carrot, fig newtons, blackberries, and canned pears (since they are softer). He is not so big on peas or peaches.
We tried puréed food (starting around 5 months) and he just seemed to have trouble. I don't know if he just ate too much of them at one time, but they really bothered his belly. So we would do them for a bit, then ease off. But about 2 weeks ago, we just started putting real food pieces in his tray and he does fine with them. His belly is fine and he seems to prefer feeding himself to spoon foods.
He doesn't have any teeth, he just mashes the food with his gums. He has some strong jaws! But I don't give him anything hard or big chunks. We haven't had any problems with the real food.
I still avoid the allergy ones...milk products, egg, nut products, honey, etc. But he pretty much gets whatever we are eating if it is appropriate (rice, bits of noodle, bits of bread, bits of meat, veggies, and fruits).
Have you started your LO on solids yet? Yep and he LOVES food.
If so when did you start? at almost 6 months
If not, when do you plan on starting? Does your LO like or dislike certain foods? He LOVES ALL food. I mean this kid loves all the veggies we've trialed (including the green veggies) and mum-mums, puffs, toast, etc. The only thing he hasn't liked was the avocado
Do they have a favorite? anything he can hold and nom on.
Do you keep them away from certain foods still? we're slowly introducing all the foods.
How often do your feed your LO solids? at least twice a day. Trying to get to 3xs a day.

we started solids at about 5 months. He loves them! He loves mum mums and puffs too! He doesnt have anything yet that he dislikes. He prefers food over formula but we make sure he still gets 24oz a day at least.
We started at six months and Davis loves it! The only one he isn't crazy about yet is bananas. He eats cereal and a fruit for breakfast and cereal and a veggie/meat for dinner. None of it, however, has helped him STTN.
Yes, Ashley, there jaws are very strong. In BLW, the baby gets whole foods. I personally wont do it because Bradley (my first) was intubated shortly after birth and damage was caused in his esophagus d/t it. So he choked and still does very easily. I don't feel comfortable with it. But, the puffs, mum mums, and melts dissolve super fast!!!
I stay away from anything that can break off and create a blockage in the throat. I am a bit of a nervous nelly with that stuff. .....
