give me my tiny little infant back!
I can't keep up with DS anymore, ever since he learned to crawl he's into everything. I feel bad having to keep him contained all the time, but what else can I do?
I want my tiny immobile baby back.

Haha! I know the feeling. We have pretty much made the living room baby central. We don't allow the older kids to bring toys in there if they are choking hazards and everything has been baby proofed.
Any other room, not so much.

It's an exhausting stage, not mobile enough to go solo, but mobile enough they want to and make a fuss if they aren't allowed to venture into every little place the feel like.

Yep, its a rough age. It gets worse when they start walking on their own.

I feel ya! Over the past few days Tristan has been crawling better and better and now I can't leave him alone for a second! I miss him being the little rock on the floor that needed me to get him anywhere

Ditto to liking this stage.
I can't wait until he's really walking and talking. In fact, I can't wait until he is about 4. I hated infanthood, so boring and annoying.

For this reason, I finally broke down and bought a free standing baby gate. It's in the middle of everything so she's a part of what we're doing, but not into everything. I also installed a gate at the top of the stairs.

Perfect! We'll trade off. 4 year olds have mini attitudes and they never shut up. Mine is currently 4 going on 14.
Actually when they are between the age of 1 and 2 is my favourite age.

I'm enjoying this and really can't wait until she crawls. Today I set her on the floor while I fed the cat. She SO wanted to go after the cat, but couldn't figure out how to do that. No crawling, but once I helped her stand she was itching to go after him.
Poor cat is probably dreading her being mobile more than I am.

I know I feel like I was crazy for wishing he was more mobile because now I can barely keep him contained....and I can barely get on the computer because all he wants to do is bang on the keys!

I like this age as well....definitely not boring to me, exciting actually to see the joy and excitement a little baby sees in the world.
Now try having a almost 6 year old who thinks she can do anything she wants and is sassy as a 16 year old, yep you'll want to trade off for your itty baby then

I looooooooooooove how mobile and curious Brynlee is. It's been my favorite so far. She knows her name, she adores me, she loves to play...I just love her!

Yep, I have an 8 year old with an attitude who causes me grief and a 4 going on 14 year old. They are both testing limits right now. I wouldn't mind them as a baby I could contain again too!
