And how are you reading it? Do you have a Nook? Kindle? Some other electronic book reader? Or do you prefer the old fashioned book?

I like old fashioned books. I just bought Room and The Secret Daughter to read after our last what are you reading thread! I plan to read them both on my holiday.

I'm TRYING to read "The Great Hunt" the 3rd in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. It's good, but I just don't have time. I like old fashioned books, but I really can't help wondering if I'd be able to read more if I had something a little lighter, portable. But I don't think so, because it would still take the same amount of concentration.

I have a Kobo, got it for Mother's day and love it! I wasn't sure I would since I like real books, but now that I have it I'm not sure I can go back.

I just finished reading Room. In the past month I've also read Night of the Living Deed, Uninvited Ghost, The Help and Secret Daughter.

Poor Little B***h Girl by Jackie Collins. Regular ole book. I'm one of those "wish I could have my own library" kind of people. I love to go to the public library but hate returning the books. I like to keep them and I never sell/trade them.

I love Hastings (don't know how many of you know what that is) because they do deals on their used books. Sometimes I get books for 99 cents or buy 2 get 1 for $1 and stuff like that. I also search the clearance book bins at Wal-Mart. This book was only $1.97

Side note: in the thread Rachel posted about being jealous/missing life before kids...all I could think of was how much I miss reading. I really only have the time late at night then I'm exhausted. I used to finish books in less than a day and now it takes me forever to finish one book.

Oh my goodness, this is me! I miss how much I was able to read. I still can, occasionally, finish a book fast if I can really get into it, but then I feel terrible because I've been neglecting my kids (and actually, now that Allison is more mobile I can't because she wants to take my book from me and I have to fight with her...and blah blah blah).

another pro for ereaders: they have their own light source

I'm not reading anything right now. The last books I read was the Hunger Games trilogy. My dh got me a Nook for my birthday but I actually prefer regular books.

I used to read a book in a day. The last time I did that, we took the kids to the double feature drive in and I sat in the back with a book light and read instead of watching the movie, lol. It was SO worth it, but I still haven't seen the Smurfs.

Mandy I want my own library too.
When I win the lottery the house I build will have an octagon room with floor to ceiling shelves and a ladder. Books books everywhere books

Rebecca I used to read a book a day too but now I haven't read a book since we moved There just isn't time to read unless it's after he kids go to bed and that's my time to clean, spend with Dale, sleep, etc.

I figure eventually they'll both be in school and have activities then I'll have time to read again.

I'm reading Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon (paperback) and Portia de Rossi's Unbearable Lightness on my Kindle. I love love my Kindle- it makes reading with kiddos around so much easier! I go back and forth between my Kindle and regular books. I have so many books but they're all packed up because we just don't have room to have them out- I'd rather have my crafty stuff out and available.

I read a lo t more before Keelan too, but I still find I have time to read. I read when I take a bath, before bed and while I'm nursing Keelan down for a nap or bed at night. I don't watch tv, like at all, so I use that time to read.

I find that I can actually read more now that I have the Kobo. I don't need to find time to physically go the library since I can download them and return them from home, and I can hold it with one hand so I can rock DS to sleep and read at the same time.
