Let's talk about your babies first birthday cake...
Are you making it or buying it?
DH and I have decided we are going to make this one. It has a 5 star rating and has been reviewed by 697 people. It looks and sounds delicious.
Chocolate Covered Oreo Cookie Cake
Here is the recipe for it if anyone wants to know ...

We had a little ladybug smash cake for her party and had cupcakes for everyone else. We bought it from a lady I work with who makes yummy and beautiful cakes.
The cake you posted looks delicious.

Oh my that cake looks so good, I don't think it would make it out of the kitchen!
I don't know if I will be making or buying the cake. If we buy it, it'll be from DH's cousin who has her own business making wedding cakes (yummy!!!!)

We are getting a cake from Costco. A co-worker that does cakes is making Coles smash cake. She was also going to do the big cake but since Im up to 40 people coming - we decided to buy one since were looking at 1/2 or whole sheet cake.

Buying a cake with a Sesame Street theme and a smash cake to go with it for her. Have NO idea what her reaction will be since she's only had tiny pieces of cake so far.

I made a 3D train cake, covered in buttercream and fondant, his smash cake was just a small flat train covered in buttercream, chocolate for him and vanilla for the rest of us, plus a bunch of chocolate cupcakes with little fondant train cutouts on top.

That looks super yummy! I made Alexis' cupcakes. Just from boxed cake mix and packaged icing. I made cupcake toppers myself with candy melts and (Canadian) Smarties.
