We've been somewhat working with a realtor trying to find a small farm of our OWN instead of living where we are now.
This morning she sent me a pretty decent listing, in our price range, with a GOOD SCHOOL SYSTEM!

It's not the county we really want to live in....but.....we'll see.
I can't wait to show Dale

It's the first one.

Ani right now we live about 20 minutes from Adams. Dale's mom lives in adams/friendship too.
There's a good possibility he knows your family that lives around here.

Woah, 10 acres! Only 1600 sq ft, but still doable if there's decent storage. Keep us posted!

Wow, what an amazing price!!!!! Something like that here, with that amount of land would be at least $300,000!!
Good luck, keep us posted.

It's usually a lot higher here too Rachel for a house like that with land AND a barn so I'm trying not to get too bent out of shape until we see it.
We might be able to see it Sunday while my mom is here

good luck. do you have your preapprval in order and all that? it does look like the house might need some updates, but if you don't mind then no biggie. it seems like a good price. KUP on everything.

We did, I forgot to post about it.
I hated it. Its TERRIBLE. The kitchen is super tiny with no feasable way to remodel to make it larger, it needs more than paint and flooring (IMO), the bedrooms were too small, and the barn is a total disgrace. It would need to be gutted and have all new stalls put in.
It was a pretty big disappointment because its beautiful from the outside and the land is really nice.

We're looking but not on a major hunt. We have a general idea what we're looking for given to several different realtors who send emails and things like that.
Country is a must, at least 8 acres. I really miss having horses and refuse to pay $200+ a month in board and Dale wants space for a shop large enough to work on semis and dump trucks.
If we don't find something by next spring/summer we're probably going to start considered just buying land and putting a trailor on it for a few years until we can afford to build.
Dale thinks that what we will end up doing for sure because I'm so picky and he doesn't really want a house over 50 years old.
