Af came back pretty much as soon as pp bleeding stopped, i had af at my 6 week check. I remember telling my mom that either i got my period back or i was dying because it was so heavy and long. Since then, they've been way lighter and shorter and i'm less crampy. That might be the bc i'm on though, i changed bc after alex was born. We'll see in jan when i go off bc.

After I had Xavier my cycles were the same, except I was crampier & my incision would ache.
After my loss, I have had shorter cycles. My LP is only 9 days. My AF is also much heavier & lasts longer. The cramps are also horrible.

Much heavier, and up until last month it was pretty regular, then it appeared in the middle of the month. It appeared in the middle of the month again this month, but exactly 4 weeks after last month's odd appearance. I'm so confused.

I also have much worse PMS.

They were super heavy. The one this week wasn't as bad. But the cramps and stomach pain are way worse than before baby.

Still no AF yet. It'll probably stay away until I've completely weaned. Nattie is only nursing for a few minutes once a day now though so I don't think it will be for long.

Just got my first one yesterday! So far the cramping hasn't been as bad. Flow about the same. I probably just jinxed myself

Guess I'm the odd one out. Mine are NOTHING compared to before I had baby. I used to have horrible, I-am-dying periods. Now, no pain whatsoever, they're much lighter and shorter. I'm happy

I've only had 2 pp AF. The first one was horrendous, much heavier and longer. The second one was a little lighter and shorter than my normal one. The overall cycle length was longer too - I was a 25 day girl, this time was 30 days. Waiting to see what happens with the next one.

I got my cycle back when I went on birth control, so they're really regular right now. My periods last longer though, and are lighter.

Cycles are a little shorter about 4-5 days
Not as painful but my periods are also never regular anymore since I've been off birth control

I just got my first true PPAF last week and I thought my uterus was trying to kill me. I have suffered from endometriosis for years so I am no stranger to pain and heavy flow, but this period was AWFUL. I was bleeding through a combination of a super plus tampon, an industrial maxi pad AND my pants at least 3-4 times a day. Ugh. So not impressed. My cycle has always been irregular and weird so I don't really know what to expect from this point forward. I'm finally starting to make peace with the weaning process that's going on right now (Miles is only nursing once a day now), but at the same time I already miss my period-less existence .

Mine are irregular, they bounce between being short and long, so I never know what to expect. The last few months, I've been using cloth pads and reusable tampons and I've noticed a lot less cramping, though.
