I was in my room with my little guy and he hit his head on the door. He was running to leave the room and somehow hit the front of his head on the door. Middle of his forehead has a little bump. I tried putting ice on it for a few seconds at a time. He seems fine. Cried for a minute when it happened. But now he is walking fine and playing like it never happened. Head injuries scare me!!
My pediatrician told me (when Will started walking) that as long as he is acting normal after he hits his head, he should be fine. If there is a goose egg, that's ok because that means the injury is on the outside of the skull. look for concerns like unfocused eyes, loss of balance, things like that.
Will hits his head all the time, at least every few days, and it scares the crap out of me every time!
William Jeffery, born 8/1/11

Keelan has bumped his head so many times! If he seems fine, he's probably fine. If you're worried, give the doctor a call. What they look for is to make sure he didn't lose consciousnesses and he's not overly grumpy, throwing up, overly sleepy.
If he's acting fine he probably is. Dominic hit his head SO many times when he was younger and it is really scary. He never had any issues. So as long as you don't see any of the signs the ladies above listed you should be fine.
