For those of you looking for some new workout clothes, both Oldnavy.com and Jcpenney.com are having some good sales. The only thing about JCP is that they are so limited on sizes because I guess people have bought a lot. I got some running tights, two long sleeve mesh sweatshirts for running, a seamless v-neck tank (to go under my long sleeve mesh tops), and some running pants. The most expensive thing was $13. The rest were between $7-$12.
Do you have a heart rate monitor? Having one really helps me because I LOVE seeing the burn when I work out. I really like running...I used to enjoy it more when I was more in shape...so I am trying to get there again. It's just been so chilly out so I had to buy some more layers.
As far as the HRM, I used to have a Polar FT4. I loved it. I wore it when I ran, when I did the treadmill, when I jump rope, when I did the 30 DS, etc. But then I bought a Garmin Forerunner for my outdoor runs and in order to buy it, I sold the Polar FT4. Wellll....I just bought the Polar FT4 AGAIN because my Garmin is for when I run and ride my bike. But it can't be used for workout dvds and things like that. So I re-purchased the Polar FT. I can't wait for it to get here.
So if you don't have a HRM, you should look into getting one! It's so awesome to be doing a work out DVD and look down and see WOW...I am doing awesome! Or Wow...I am slacking here. It's a huge motivator.
Yes!! You should totally get one. The HRM I bought was $61.50 on ebay. The secret to C25K is to start out being able to walk for 30 minutes 3x a week. Then start Week 1, Day 1. I love the C25K app because it tells you when to run or jog and it has the timer. I love not having to keep up with it, lol. So I can just put it in my arm holder, still listen to music, and it will just tell me when to run and when to walk. I wear my Garmin for that because it shows me calories burned, pace, distance, and time.
But a regular HRM would still tell you how many calories you've burned during C25K!!
