-Layla went to her second visit today. The kids go every six months. She does really well. Both kids love sitting in the "space chair" and getting stickers after. They usually brush their teeth, count them, and apply a vitamin on them. takes about 5-10 mins per child. no cavities !
Are you guys going to a family dentist or pediatric dentist? Our family dentist said to come for the first time around 4 years old, and our pediatrician suggested bringing E to the dentist when we go so he can watch. I know the pediatric dentist I went to growing up suggests a first visit at 1 year old. (I found his website, and he's still practicing!)
Yep! Lilli went for her first appt today. All they did was brush her teeth to see how many teeth, brush with toothpaste, then brush with fluride (sp?!). No cavities. She screamed. Probably traumatized all the other kids. Oh well, it's done!
Kynslee has not had an appointment yet, and I'm not sure when I'll take her. Anyone know of any good dental insurances? I haven't been to the dentist in years myself. I'm waaayyy over due for an appointment! But, it's so expensive, I just need to pay for good dental insurance.
I started at 3 with Layla, & will likely do the same with X. She's been twice now & has done great. She LOVES it. Had I taken her at two....different story.
They clean her teeth & attempt x-rays. The first visit they couldn't get a good pic since she couldn't hold the thing in her mouth correctly. Last time was perfect. No cavities to date!
