~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My Story~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My weightloss journey as an adult started after my mom's massive heart attack death on November 3, 2005. She died at the age of 47. I weighed 245 pounds. It took me almost a month to kick it off, but I did it. Actually, I kicked it off with being sick on the couch one weekend, where I actually lost 6 pounds.
I started off writing down my food and exercise in a journal that I kept by my bed. We started using a Gazelle and The Biggest Loser dvd (the first one). DH was trying to lose some weight too. I also did some WATP videos. It took me from late November 2005 to October 2006 to lose those first 30 pounds. While I did lose the weight, the biggest change I added was exercise. I thought I was doing alright with food, but now that I think about it, I could have been much more healthy. Anyway, my weightloss was on pause then because I found out I was pregnant again.
From October 2006 to June 2007, I carried and grew my precious little girl. I gained 31 pounds during that pregnancy and had no additional health problems, unlike my first pregnancy. I gained 57 pounds with that one and had to be put on rest early because of swelling. (I was 277 when I delivered him.)
So, as soon as I got the doctor's "okay," I was back at losing the weight again. We mostly walked with our double stroller since it was summer. I joined MWL (not yet Fitness then), and I eventually became a cohost in about September 2007. That really motivated me to do well. I upped my water intake to an average of 80-96 ounces per day. I also made sure to get at least 5 servings of fruits/veggies daily. I incorporated more whole grains, and I tried to make sure I was cooking healthfully. Oh, also in September, I got back down to my prepregnancy weight of 216 pounds.
I returned to work mid-October 2007, where I received compliments on my weightloss a lot. That really motivated me to keep going. I started getting up in the mornings before work to do my new favorite video...Turbo Jam (Cardio Party 1). I also walked with DH and the kids some until it got colder, and I used other DVDs as well. By Christmas of that year, I was 200 pounds or so.
On January 8, 2008, our house flooded because of melting snow and rain. That really stunk. We had to live with my grandma for a week, which meant no exercise and eating what she cooked. It wasn't horribly unhealthy, but it wasn't the way I was used to cooking. Although I didn't formally exercise, I did do a lot of work trying to move and pack/unpack. Anyway, while that was a minor setback, we moved on (literally).
By early February of 2008, I was 192 pounds. I was feeling great, had more energy, and loved all the compliments. I was dropping clothing sizes, and I was almost out of the plus department. I just kept plugging away, which included buying more and more exercise dvds. I even asked for some for Christmas.
Step ahead to early May of 2008, where I weighed in at about 183 pounds. Once again, I felt great. By the end of May, however, I would have to put my weightloss on hold once again, as we received some surprise BFPs. Honestly, I was kind of happy to pause my weightloss for a bit since I'd been working so hard on it for over 9 months. I had lost 45 pounds in those nine months (some of it baby weight). Also, the biggest surprise was that our second child wasn't quite a year old yet. That didn't matter to anyone though. Thank goodness, as we were worried about family responses!
During that pregnancy (June 2008-January 2009), I gained 40-42 pounds. It was more than I wanted, but I also wasn't stellar with my food and didn't exercise much due to early m/s and fatigue. I had our third baby on January 22, 2009. I couldn't wait until my six week appt for the big okay again. I was ready. It didn't matter to me that it was my third c-section. I was aching for exercise once more!
And that's where this journal begins. As of March 19, 2009, I weigh 200 pounds again. I am ready to lose those extra pounds, and nothing's stopping me.
Here's my picture progress link: http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f1...4-20-09-a.html
~~~~~~~~~~~~~update~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's August 6, 2009. I currently weigh in at 176.6. I have lost 23.4 pounds in 4.5 months (5 pounds/month average...same average I had before this last pregnancy). It's been slower than I'd like, particularly throughout the summer, but once I return to work next week, I think it'll start coming off again. I will be up and around even more than I am at home with 3 little ones, and I plan on exercising on average 2x/day. I plan to walk with coworkers after work for 30 minutes and then come home and either jog/walk, go to the gym for classes/weights, or do another exercise video. It'll come off. My goal date now is Easter of 2010. Here we go!

Oh, I forgot to add that I started jogging with walking intervals. I'm trying to build up to all jogging. I did 24 minutes of jogging with 16 minutes of walking 2 days ago. I'm also trying my best to "eat clean." I feel SO much healthier and better about myself when I'm not eating lots of processed crap. I find that I even don't really care for the idea of chain sit down restaurants too much anymore as I know their food is processed and spruced up in order to be served. Plus, they're laden with sodium. I have even started making my own yummy pasta sauce. I am still drinking at least 96 ounces of water daily, getting at least 5 servings of fruits/veggies, eating almost only whole grains, and making sure to get some protein just about any time I eat. I try to eat only when I'm hungry, and sometimes I throw some calorie counting in there to make sure I'm doing okay. I just feel healthy overall with tons more energy. I can't wait to see how I feel 42 pounds from now!

3/20 and 3/21--did 30 Day Shred only, but I wanted to do more

3/21--Have wedding to attend tonight...going to try not to go overboard with food.

I am 200 pounds exactly this morning. I hope if I rev up my workouts this week that I'll see a nice loss this week. I've been doing pretty well with food. I'm trying really hard to get in a lot of fruits and veggies. I have been starting out my day with loads of veggies in 1 egg and 1 eggwhite with a bit of 2% cheese. I also eat 1 piece of whole wheat toast and oj. I feel pretty healthy after eating this, and I am glad I get in a lot of veggies and protein in then.

~plan for day 7 of 30DS and 50 minutes of Turbo Jam Cardio Party 3...79 minutes and 755 cals burned
~I was starving/shaky before bed last night, so I had a small helping of dinner for a snack. I was worried about having too many calories, but I need something. Obviously, since I lost 0.8 pounds from yesterday, it was okay. Lesson learned...eat if you need to. Just don't go overboard.
