So, I have a new reason to lose weight and lose it quick! My in-laws are coming for Thanksgiving and my MIL has had much fun in the past few years pointing out my weight to me in a very mean way.
I know losing weight in an "I'll show HER" kinda way isn't really a good reason but I don't care. It'll give me more confidence when I do see her again and make me healthier so I'm not worried about my exact motivations, the result is the important thing.
My plan: Tomorrow morning I will take my weight and measurements and start my diet and exercise plan which I will come up with now.
Diet plan: (rules)
-No added sugar unless it occurs naturally.
-No more than 2 bread-like slices or pieces per day
-one glass of milk is ok
-watch creamer intake with coffee
-one glass of OJ ok
-the rest is water, water, water
-strive to raise protein intake as well as fruits and veggies
Exercise plan: (for now)
-5 days a week
wed- cardio & crunches
thurs- just cardio
fri- cardio & weights
sat- just cardio
sun- cardio, crunches & weights
-Running around yard
Oh my gosh... Denise Austin is a mad woman! What a freak! But, by the end of the 40 min intense workout I sure did feel good about doing it.. but then I ate a muffin. I really needed carbs after that one.
Wed: Denise Austin (Dance workout & weights) 50 min
Thurs: Leslie Sansone (4 mile power walk) 60 min
Fri: Leslie Sansone (2 mile power walk) 30 min
Sat: Shopping w/ Mom and walking around the Lake ~~all day
Mon: Good on: nothing Bad on: sugar, fat, F&V, bread
Tues: Good on: nothing Bad on: sugar, fat, F&V, bread
Wed: Good on: water, fruit, low sugar Bad on: bread, veg
Thurs: Good on: water, low sugar, protein, veg Bad on: bread, fat. fruit
Fri: Good on: water, vegs Bad on: everything else
Sat: Good on:Bad on: Everything
Sun: Good on:water Bad on:can't remember
weighed in: 201. I'm sure Mon and Tues are to blame! Changing weigh day to Mondays.

**Think I did alright this week on exercise but really need to do better with carbs to make my workouts really count. Going to try and work in a powerwalk tomorrow and then Wednesday will start the new week of workouts. Tomorrow I will also start working on my carb intake.

Rebecca - looks like you're doing a good job! I tried a low carb diet once and it was NOT for me! Glad you're finding something that works for you! Keep up the great work and I promise to try and check in more!
I've been away from the JM mostly these days as well. But I did weigh myself and I've lost almost 15 lbs since last August. That makes me feel good atleast. I'm still doing the carb diet but log most things on myfitnesspal. I made a new account there 2 months back.
