So, I have a new reason to lose weight and lose it quick! My in-laws are coming for Thanksgiving and my MIL has had much fun in the past few years pointing out my weight to me in a very mean way.

I know losing weight in an "I'll show HER" kinda way isn't really a good reason but I don't care. It'll give me more confidence when I do see her again and make me healthier so I'm not worried about my exact motivations, the result is the important thing.

My plan: Tomorrow morning I will take my weight and measurements and start my diet and exercise plan which I will come up with now.

Diet plan: (rules)
-No added sugar unless it occurs naturally.
-No more than 2 bread-like slices or pieces per day
-one glass of milk is ok
-watch creamer intake with coffee
-one glass of OJ ok
-the rest is water, water, water
-strive to raise protein intake as well as fruits and veggies

Exercise plan: (for now)
-5 days a week
wed- cardio & crunches
thurs- just cardio
fri- cardio & weights
sat- just cardio
sun- cardio, crunches & weights

*cardio variations:
-Powerwalk vids
-Running around yard
-Exercise show
-jumping jacks
-jump rope

**start workouts when DH leaves for work


be back tomorrow for update

I'm baaaack.... anyways

Today I weighed in at 200.5 not too shabby considering I had majorly eaten bad stuff this week. I had a banana and apple for BF and coffee with light cream no sugar.

Measurements:
wrist: 6
forearm: 8
neck: 15
chest: 39
bust: 43
shoulders: 46
bicep: 14
lower ab: 49.5
waist: 45
hips: 49
thigh: 25.5
calf: 14

ok.. that was hard.. now to find a workout to do.. decided on Leslie Sansone's 3 mile powerwalk Now to grab some water and get started.

Ok, so I did 50 mins cardio and 50 crunches. Did great on the diet until "the pumpkin muffin"

Other than that and my sinus problem, the day has gone fine.

Off to guzzle water now.

Oh my gosh... Denise Austin is a mad woman! What a freak! But, by the end of the 40 min intense workout I sure did feel good about doing it.. but then I ate a muffin. I really needed carbs after that one.

I'm gonna feel this tomorrow..

I guess I'll weigh in on Wednesdays and measure.

missed my sat-sun workouts and mon-tues won't work. I may try one today and/or tues. but probably won't get back into things until wednesday!

Going to just edit this post all week:

Exercise
Wed: Denise Austin (Dance workout & weights) 50 min
Thurs: Leslie Sansone (4 mile power walk) 60 min
Fri: Leslie Sansone (2 mile power walk) 30 min
Sat: Shopping w/ Mom and walking around the Lake ~~all day
Sun: Sick

Nourishment
Mon: Good on: nothing Bad on: sugar, fat, F&V, bread
Tues: Good on: nothing Bad on: sugar, fat, F&V, bread
Wed: Good on: water, fruit, low sugar Bad on: bread, veg
Thurs: Good on: water, low sugar, protein, veg Bad on: bread, fat. fruit
Fri: Good on: water, vegs Bad on: everything else
Sat: Good on: Bad on: Everything
Sun: Good on:water Bad on:can't remember

weighed in: 201. I'm sure Mon and Tues are to blame! Changing weigh day to Mondays.

On my Monday weigh-in I was 198.

Measurements:
wrist: 6
forearm: 8
neck: 15
chest: 39
bust: 43
shoulders: 46
bicep: 13
lower ab: 49.5
waist: 45
hips: 49
thigh: 25
calf: 14


So, that says 1 inch off of my bicep and .5 inch off of my thigh. Not sure if that's accurate or if my measurements were slightly off from using a new measuring tape. Not claiming victory yet..


Ok so this week starts today and I think I'm gonna let Denise Austin kick my butt.


Exercise
Wed: Denise Austin cardio and sculpt {50 min}
Thurs: Denise Austin intense workout {40 min}
Fri: Leslie Sansone 4 mile powerwalk {60 min}
Sat: Muscles need a rest
Sun: Denise Austin intense workout {40 min}

**Think I did alright this week on exercise but really need to do better with carbs to make my workouts really count. Going to try and work in a powerwalk tomorrow and then Wednesday will start the new week of workouts. Tomorrow I will also start working on my carb intake.

I didn't give up but I have an extreme tooth ache that I'm taking antibiotics for. Exercising will just exacerbate it. I'll get right back on course once the pain is a lot more minimal.

Still here, tooth ache is better. Been on a low carb diet for 2 days.. can't wait to weigh tomorrow. I may do a powerwalk tomorrow if I have the energy but this diet zaps my energy.

Ok, I'm down to 193 bc of the carb diet but I'm giving it up after tomorrow. I want to switch to a low cal, mostly vegetarian diet, still highly limited breads but also limiting fats and sugar.

Rebecca - looks like you're doing a good job! I tried a low carb diet once and it was NOT for me! Glad you're finding something that works for you! Keep up the great work and I promise to try and check in more!

I've been away from the JM mostly these days as well. But I did weigh myself and I've lost almost 15 lbs since last August. That makes me feel good atleast. I'm still doing the carb diet but log most things on myfitnesspal. I made a new account there 2 months back.
