My first entry! Let's see - 146 days from today and my dh will hopefully be home! YAY! So that gives me just under 21 weeks to kick my butt into shape so I can be hot standing on that pier. Dh and I both agreed before he left that we would spend this time apart getting into shape for 1 another so we can grow old together and annoy each other as long as possible lol.
I'm seeing a personal trainer 2 days a week and going to the gym 3 days a week on my own. My main goal is to lose 80 pounds this deployment, last deployment I lost 59 pounds in 5 months. So I've got a bigger goal to hit, but more time to do it in. I started 3 weeks ago and I've already lost 10 pounds so technically I have only 70 more to go YAY!
Yesterday I met with the trainer. I did power squats and boy does my butt hurt today! OUCH! I did 5 reps of 20 each with 55lb weights. When I was done my legs were shaking, but it felt good to push through those last few.
I set some goals for the month of Sept, but the main goal is to be able to jog 1 mile at a 10 min mile pace. I think this goal is unattainable, but I'm going to try to get there the best I can or as close as I can.
Sorry--I had to sneak a peek into your journal! That's amazing that you already lost 59 lbs with his last deployment and you are going about it all the right way. I hope you start sleeping better soon--that will make it much easier!
