My pregnancy with Kamryn was so different than my pregnancy with my two oldest daughters. With Kamryn I got sick in July and remained sick throughout the rest of my pregnancy. By September I was in and out of labor and delivery where they were treating me for dehydration and giving me pain medicine via IV.
Fast forward to November. I spent a stretch of 25 days in the hospital and my OB kept telling me just to bear with the pain until 36 weeks and they would do an amniocentesis to see if Kamryn's lungs were mature. When I was released from the hospital I was 33 weeks and couldnt fathom being pregnant for another three weeks. I was released from MY hospital on November 30th and went home and cried because I was in so much pain. On December 2nd I was in so much pain my mom took me to another hospital and after keeping me over night for observation, they sent me home on the 3rd. Finally on the 4th my husband took me back to my regular hospital and they kept me again. My blood pressure was really high so they came in on the 5th and said they would be performing my csection around 8 the next morning.
The next morning my nurse came in around 6ish and said that overnight Kamryn's heartrate would decrease with every other contraction and my OB was on the way to perform with c/s. They took me to the OR right away and things got underway very quickly. Kamryn Nicole was born at 34 weeks 5 days @ 6:54am. She weighed 5 lbs 6 oz, 18 inches long. She spent 8 days in the NICU, but breathed on her own right away and had did incredibly well! She was born on my middle daughter's birthday which I think is the coolest thing ever!
Wow, it sounds like you had quite the struggle with your pregnancy. I am glad to hear that your little miracle was born healthy and that she is doing well! How awesome that she was born on your daughter's birthday...that is pretty neat!
