She made her grand entrance at 4:04 pm on March 24th weighing 7 lbs. 12 oz. and was 20 inches long. Here's her birth story:
We made it to the hospital on time at 5:30 that morning. They didn't get my Pitocin started until about 6:45, and the dr. came in to break my water at 7:15. Contractions were getting pretty good, so I finally asked for a cervical check and epidural a couple of hours later. I had progressed to almost 5cm. Things were moving very quickly, and we thought she'd be born by 1:00, but she had other plans. I got to 8 and slowed down. Finally made it to 9 and really got stuck. There was a small amount of cervix left all around, then it went to just at the top. The nurse thought about having me push to see if I could push through it because it was bendy, but we ended up still waiting another hour. FINALLY at about 3:30, I was complete and ready to go. She started me on some pushing before the dr. got there, and I was able to do a great job with that. Did about 4 pushes and the dr. came. Did about 4 more pushes, and she was out!
She is very healthy and sleepy lol! We all love her so much!
