We had originally planned to do a VBAC but after being checked the Friday before being 39 weeks and being told that my cervix was still really high and far back with no dilation and having the dr say that I may want to consider my options, I decided to go ahead with the scheduled c-section. I have to say that my experience this time around was way smoother than with my son Daniel. When I got to l&d at 5:30 am I was put on the monitors and got to meet the anesthesiologist. I was absolutely floored that he had the same British accent that my last anesthesiogist had. He was such a smart *** and it was a great way to lighten things up. I was absolutely thrilled when I found out that my nurse throughout everything would be the one I had met during an NST and had liked so much. My dr was amazing. She was telling stories about her daughter who is only a month old during my surgery. My husband was an amazing support. I felt some tugging but that was it. Gabriel was born at 8:34 am on Wed morning. He's a wonderful baby who sleeps anywhere from 3-4 hrs at a time. He's a great eater and I'm finally able to bf without any supplementing this time around! I hope to show off some pics later but as for right now, the little man is a hollering. Thank all of you wonderful ladies for all your support... congrats to the mommas that have had their babies already and good luck to the ones who made it til april!!
