This being my 5th, you'd think I'd know I was in labor. But, nope had no idea. I had been having irregular contractions for a few days prior.
That night it was the same thing. I just thought I was in false labor. again. And
I got mad at DH because he called my sister (who lives an hour away) to come over. My contractions were still irregular. And at that point 10 mins apart for an hour. My sister got here a little after 3 am and they were about 3-7 mins apart. But, I was in so much pain. I went ahead to the hospital at about 3:30 am. Got to the hospital and got all hooked up and checked at 4:05 and was 7cm and 100% effaced. (I had an appt the day before and was 4cm 80%effaced.) I was going to ask for some pain meds. But, I was signing so many papers. I just never got the chance. My doctor got there at about 4:30 and broke my water. And Jace was born at 4:44am on April 13th. Weighing 7lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long.
On his way out my Doctor said "I'll see you for #6". At first I was like no way. But, now we're considering just one more.
And I don't know what I was thinking waiting so long to go to the hospital. With my last baby. The nurses in triage delivered her, my doctor got there about 30 mins later.
The kids all adore him, now. DD was a little unsure but, she's coming around. She still wants a baby sister though.
