Well it all started on May 25th we went into the hospital at 9m to start our induction. First let me just say I have never had any reason to go to the hospital so this was my first trip and I hate the Dr. and needles...lol. They put me in the delivery room and started to ask the normal questions and start my IV. I go the NEW nurse and a RN. The new nurse tried to start my IV on my left arm and blew my vein after digging the needle into my arm. Then she blew another one on my right side and the RN took over from there and got my IV done in no time. I almost passed out on the second attempt. needles to day my DH was very upset with the new nurse and she did not come back! they then put in cervidil and let us "sleep" untill 6am. 6am they started my pitosin. By 6:30 I was contracting. my Dr broke my water around 11am and after that the contractions got very uncomfortable. I asked for some med to take off edge and man it worked..lol I felt drunk and thought I was going to fall off of the bed. I got my epidural about 12:30 and after that I could not feel anything at all. My legs went so dead I could not move them at all. they kept putting me in very odd and uncomfortable positions to get me to progress further. One of those positions made Makenzie's heart rate drop to 60 and the nurse changed my position and gave me oxygen. I was ready to push at 11pm. I pushed for 22min and she was out!! I did have to have an epsotomy (spelling? sorry). We are doing well and trying our hardest to get the BF thing down.
