I'm delayed in typing this...so I apologize. I went to the hospital at 5 am on Friday May27th for my scheduled induction. I got there, got checked in and taken to my room. I did the paperwork, admission questions, and got an IV started. I was checked and was 3 cm dilated and contracting on my own. The nurse waited abit and then came in and started the Pitocin. The doctor came in about 2 hours later and broke my water. That was around 8 am. Then we waited and waited until around 12:30. At that time I got my epidural (which was a 1st experience for me and was NOT fun seeing as though the guy missed the area 3 times). The nurse checked me and I was 5 cm dilated. About 30 minutes later the doctor came over and checked me and I was 7 cm. About 2 pm I started feeling alot of pressure and had the nurse check me. She said I was 10 cm but needed to wait so the baby could come down more. Finally around 3:45 the doctor came over and said I could start pushing. I pushed (and got to see her being born via a large mirror...which was amazing), and she was born at 4:02 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 14.8 oz and was 20 1/2 inches. It was a very different birthing experience than with my DS but was still amazing. We got to come home on Sunday and she was 7 lbs 10 oz on discharge. As of this past Thursday, the 9th, she was up to 8 1/2 lbs so she is doing well. As for me, all is going good also, just adjusting to the new lack of sleep I don't know how to post pics but there are some on my FB.
